@Nademm Ahmed VR 46 - Have patience, The No.s are low because of two reasons, 1) People who know about FIAT and its plan but don't have confident are buying other Brands (Many are not aware of FIAT current Products, So basically they won't consider FIAT while buying Car)
    2) The Dealers who got FIAT exclusive Showroom are busy in building/Preparing there new showroom and other dealers are not interested at all, because they are busy in selling in TATA cars.
This is a transition stage, no point in spending in advertisement, when the FIAT Exclusive showrooms are not ready with minimum numbers in important centers then the Advertisement should start in full swing . As for me the planing is good and the Execution is also good till now, I hope the same will continue in future also. Once the Showroom & Service centers are in place, Introduction of other Brand's (JEEP, ALFA ROMEO) with very good advertisement in Visual & Print Media, followed with other advertisement like Event Sponsorship, Holding EVENTS like Roadshow and Showcasing in Popular mall's, movies and Film Event venue will do lot for FIAT Brand IMAGE.

How about a FIAT INDIA CUP - a Racing Event / Rally Event, with State-wise Team for FIAT Owners? Even the Dealers can be part of this event, with best award's for the TEAM, Driver and Mechanic.

    With Regards,

  2. Sales cannot increase in one or two month time. I thing it will need 6 to 8 months or even more time to increase the sales number. Along with the dealership they should speed up the service center also.

In my office every one appreciates Fiat, but they all worried abut the after sales. People still fear about the after sales.

From Mr.Atanasio's statement about the sales, they are looking year-wise not on a long term basis for now (till 2014 end). The year 2013 belongs to the Exclusive Sales and Service centers and the product lines which is already announced in December 2012. From 2015 onwards, localization of the other brands will start (Jeep will be manufactured in India and the portfolio will have 9 models overall; at least 2 models from each brand will be manufactured from India). As well as per plan there will be 60 Exclusive Sales and Service centers by March end (may be a few showrooms get delayed but not much delay) and all the remaining by year end. So the advertising will start from the April first with trained sales and service personnel in dock. Fiat already taken steps to train it's sales and service force.

Another aspect is that if they flood the market now with visual and print ads customers and assuming customers walkin happens, think what would be situation with current set of dealers.

Once they are ready with around 60 dealerships (mar end or april mid), Enrico did mention about upping the game on print and visual media. At least fiat can think that with exclusive dealerships in place they can attend the customer in a better manner than earlier. Also remember the 1st questions any Indian will ask is about the A.S.S and now they dont have a proper answer other than TATA -FIAT A.S.S.

They really can't afford another marketing mishap. Again as Mightymaverick said

2013 - Year of transformation with exclusive dealership and service centers along with intro of Jeep and Abarth model ( end of 2013) and importantly return to market share of 1% from the current .5% or less
2014 - Year Fiat new models as per plan announced in Dec 2012
2015- Year of Jeep models by way of local production and FIAT-Chrysler target to achieve a market share of 5% of the total passenger cars sold in India

K guys..thanks for discussing..Fiat is going as per their plan, they r opening exclusive dealerships n service centres bt y Fiat is not upping the pace of opening exclusive service centres..people fear of Fiat's ASS n spare parts problem..Fiat shud open atleast ASS in West,North East n East region..in cities like kashmir, rajasthan, bihar n other places Fiat owners r getting frustrated bcoz they r not getting gud ASS n they r not getting spare parts easily..

I recollect Mr. Enrico mentioned that they have signed around 72 LOI for Fiat exclusive touchpoints all over india of which almost 60 will be operational by mar/apr. Also they will have around 120+ touch points in total in the near future( i dont remember the timelines for these). Guys who were at Vecto opening do you remember anything Enrico/Ravi mentioning about west bengal and NE areas..

Quote 52 from vecto motors inauguration thread,
I am curious about the second point, reading between the lines - Palio/UNO parts wont be available?.
Puntos/Lineas - in future will go to the same situation?. After 2014 fiats new models, major face lifts..

Yes you are reading too much :).
Servicing will continue and they will try their best, but they would help/encourage to move to new cars.
There is could be some difficulties in sourcing parts of old cars and this is true and applicable to all brands.

For Punto and Linea they had made sure parts will be available till one wants. So no worries there.

If Fiat is not ready to give parts now for uno and palio(not that old) its tough to believe them in future....Lets wait and see for an year how it works.
if fiat meant a buy back policy by encourage/help, it will be good.
