Fiat has clearly shown that it is least interested in the Indian market with their lineup at the autoexpo. What were they thinking by showcasing the phased out Punto and the Avventura without the rear spare wheel. They could have at least brought cars that showcase their capabilities. I think they are just happy selling engines in India.

A four billion dollar company like Bajaj Auto was so worried about the 15 crores that it costs for putting up a stall at the Autoexpo even though they have products which are new and that would sell. They preferred not to participate and were thrilled at the launch of the new motorcycle called V, that they accomplished within 5 lakhs. Here we have Fiat peddling the same stuff for the 8th year in succession least bothered about the money that it costs.....unless as somebody was mentioning there will be a surprise on 5th possibly to get more attention after all the launches have drawn the crowds on the first two days. Am sure they would have done their math. Does @prabhjot have some inner news?

@nikhil0405, it's not fiat, it's the DC who have brought this urban cross Avventura to auto expo.

Mostly looks linea powered by Abarth. As logo is Fiat, not a complete abarth car. Very poor show Fiat india.

Why they even go for Stall at Auto Expo:mad:
Nissan although they have very low presence here ,,,they showcased Gt-R,how many buy GtR ,or Reanult showing lots of concepts,or Bmw I8,,but still its there. Those companies know what Auto Expo means for Indian user base and they are serious about it . What Fiat is showing, anyone can get this job done in their Linea at roadside shop.

@Tornado, the Avventura without the rear spare wheel is being displayed at the Fiat stall. So for any onlooker it is by Fiat. Not sure whether this has been designed by DC.

The point is that the auto expo is a forum where manufacturers showcase their best or upcoming cars/concepts. A poor show by Fiat is an understatement.

Having seen in internet on various displayed cars at Autoexpo, None of the manufacturers really tried bring life to the drive or at all to contest with Abarth punto. One doesn't need an auto expo to release abarth. Imagine if abarth is first showed in autoexpo and what people in forums might have talked about abarth? This autoexpo is for people who like moping or grazing down top grass. Ford with its figo and aspire and now VW with ameo have displayed their desire to chase marutis and hyundais. Still Fiat cars I feel has soul in them.

Fiat should seriously think about the future of Fiat brand in India. I feel very sad, that in spite of having great technology & engineering, they are not getting sales and also not getting brand recognition. 1 all new hatch and compact SUV will definitely generate some interest of buyer in Fiat.

Seriously, Fiat, There is also life beyond Punto & Linea.
