Update @ 12,980+K KMS, 8 days to completed 1 year with KEMPI:
- Renewed insurance - Future Generali - IDV 6.5L
- Had called Vecto Motors for 15K service: No slots available till 13th Jan 14'.
~ Checked with Santosh (SA), if i can drive for another 1000 kms (that's 14,000+ kms but not exceeding 15,000 kms) & i will be completing 1st year on 18th Jan - but he confirmed that i can drive but not to exceed 15k, date doesn't matter. Can anyone advice on this ? Since the manual says 15,000 kms or 1st year - which ever comes first !!! Thanks.
PS: considering i would not be crossing more than 500 kms before 18th Jan

Its clear that 1 year or 15k which ever is earlier. Its always better to adhere to this; it might prove to be a decisive factor in future. For example- in case if any warranty claims.

Thanks punto_emotion. I checked again with Vecto yesterday regarding the date / KMS. I will be calling back for booking 15k service this week. Yeah you are right, can't take chances when it comes to warranty issues. Thanks
Second Service Done (15,000 KMS - 1 Year – Ownership – Service @ Vecto Motors):
As I write, KEMPI completes 1 year. Exactly today I got her home on 18.01.2013. She has served happy miles & every miles have been fantastic – be it service, economical, bitter free, owning a Italian !! loving it so far @ 13,300 KMS I got 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] free service done from Vecto Motors yesterday.
Day out at Vecto: Took service appointment almost a week prior. Started from home @ 9:15, reached by 10:00. SA Dayanand (Newbie) was assigned. There wasn’t much for his to note down since I hardly had any issue. Requested him to ignore wheel alignment (Still he mentioned Service center wouldn’t be responsible for any wheel(s) related issue). He inspected Left-Right-Front-Rear !! Prepared the Job card, I asked him if the car can be delivered by 1 or 2PM max. He mentioned he can do the best – ETA= 4PM.
Since I had taken off from worked, stayed back – watched some telugu movie (no paid channel) & enjoyed a bit of Wi-Fi J. Meanwhile I was giving frequent visit to Bay#3, security out there seemed to be annoyed HeHeHe, then we started to talk – Friendly security J. Then was watching via the waiting lounge – Oil replaced, filter changed & bit of this & that !!! Post lunch hours KEMPI was taken for test drive then to the wash area.
There was lot of improvement at the wash area: The pressure was more, more liquid soap, work was fast! Also the bay has enough people now – Ultra fast cleaning: Manual + automatic J.
1. Water wash – 3 minutes
2. Soap soak spray – 5 minutes
3. Soap wipe – 10 minutes
4. Water wash – 3 minutes
5. Interior air clean + polish – 10 minutes
6. Exterior dry wipe – 10 minutes
7. Liquid wax polish (Rubber parts+Tyres+Panel) – 5 minutes
Then by the time I was done with payment, KEMPI was ready “Bling! Bling – Full Minching” near the reception !! at 2:50PM.
Issue reported: All were fixed
1. Number plate light error – Fixed – Bulbs were replaced.
2. Bonnet/wiper plastic cover adjustment – Fixed – Aligned.
3. Driver side – window panel screeching noise – wasn’t reported by me – but it was shown to me & done – Appreciated !!
4. Recently 2 of my pen drive conked up – asked SA if that could be voltage issue – no issue observed.
5. Brake pads – of course doing good.
Vecto rating: 4/5 (If you were thinking where is remaining 1 – it’s the billing issue that ate up !! bought KEMPI from Concorde motors, data base still doesn’t reflect Vecto even after asking them to update during my 1[SUP]st[/SUP] service @ 5,000 KMS. Also due to (as usual) technical problem I wasn’t given the hard copy bill !!! SA updated that he will be mailing me soft copy within 2-3 days. He gave me a hand written bill breakup.
Hole in the Pocket?? 5,300/- (Why does Vecto charge different price per different customer w.r.t Engine oil?? anyone ??)
Started & on my way home filled Diesel at Shell !! Added one more scale model - (Lego) Ferrari edition @ Shell – KEMPI B ’Day gift !!! I’m stupid !!

Vecto seems to be going good. .. well in time delivered. .. tell me something, is surinder still associated with vecto? He is one of the knowledged guy for weird problems in car.... on the fourth month of my car ownership, I was having a problem with lock, kht was unable to identify the problem. But surinder not only identified the problem but fixed it.

I got both 1st & 2nd service done from Vecto, they have improved when its service matter. Not sure, i didn't see him around during my last visit. Both Karthik (One from Sales & another from Service) have quit ! Yes Surindra is knowledgeable person, he had attended my car last time. Vecto need to have spares stocked up, may be in coming days they might !!
People come to conclusion that the service center ain't good by listening to rumors or by experience !!! Sad but true !! During my first service they delayed delivery but this time i got 1+ hour before mentioned time. FIATian's need to give time & chance for them ...

That,s the washing bay ??? Looks nice .. shaded and well maintained. KHT has ample space, but not sure why they didn't do this ... One major problem of KHT washing guys is , after water wash they don't wipe it of immediately, specifically wind-screen is required to do this quick wipe. As a result, the water dries up and ends up with dried circular water marks. Many guys complain about this...
