Indeed last time for fourth service, the SA told me that labor charges will be 1900 Rs. Literally i fired on them and spoke to Service Manager.. poor guy he does'nt know how much they would charge labor for 45k Service.
In the end SA was telling me that you have been given discount of 900 Rs :) . Thats how typically service centers are functioning these days.
For past 2 weeks i constantly following up with Service Center to procure Brake pads , every time i get this answer - 'Brake pads will come next week saar :firey'.

Thanks for pointing that out Ravi, I had a hunch that 5 ltrs coolant has something fishy about it. Labour costs are the killer's in these ASC's. Somehow off late, Fortune has become really expensive and they keep charging labour for almost everything. Also, I haven't checked my last invoice but I feel labour for 45K service was about Rs.1200 and now it's Rs.1,440. Fortune is going to be a exclusive Fiat ASC but if this is the way things are then I shudder to think what's going to happen.

We are all happy that Fiat is opening exclusive service center's but what's the use if this is the way they are going to run?

I agree. It took me barely 30 seconds to notice the problems in the invoice but a colleague of mine goes to give the car and get it back from service. Honestly, I have no patience to wait 2 hours for a printed invoice. All hell would break loose if I had to wait 2 hours for every small thing, I would have probably sold the car by now :).

I have been saying this for past 2 services. Things are going from bad to worse and service experiences are getting really bad. It's not enough to just open exclusive service centre's, it seems like there is no supervision or control over them and they can function as they want. Fiat is heading for further disaster with their ASC's and it seems history is going to repeat itself.

Yes Ravi that's what the SA told my colleague but honestly, I would take what they say with a truckload of salt. Let's wait till April 1 and then confirm.

This is the same SA who said timing belt will cost 20K :).

Found out a major goof up by Fortune, Nerul post my 60K service.

From the next day after my car came back from the 60K service at Fortune, Nerul, I started getting the 'Airbag Failure - See user manual' message on my MID. I thought the battery is on it's way out since this has been a common battery related issue in our Punto's and Linea's. This used to happen every time I cranked the car. Still had a niggling doubt that it could be the A/C relay as well or maybe alternator not charging the battery adequately. Every time I turned the car on there would be a krrrrrrrr sound from the bonnet for a few seconds. After that when I used to twist the key for the engine start the car would start normally. In short, I thought of all the usual as well as unusual reasons for this problem. Yesterday, morning when I was leaving for work, I cranked the car, all lights came on then everything switched off. I tried to start the car and there was nothing. It was dead. Tried cranking again and no lights came on in the instrument panel. I got out of the car tried locking it with the remote & nothing happened. The second press on the remote and the car locked. I unlocked it, got in & cranked it, The lights came on and the car started normally. I decided to reach work and then get it checked since I didn't want to switch it off now to check the problem.

At work, I opened the bonnet & thought of checking the battery water level. Right then for some reason it came to my mind to check the battery terminal connection. I touched the cable's & lifted them with my finger's and off they came! Lifting them was as easy as picking up a pencil from a table. Clearly, Fortune guy's had forgotten to tighten the cable's.

^^ Something thats not acceptable at all. The battery cable was left losu, no mechanical damage happened. What if they forgot to tighten the bolts on the wheel? It could turnout to be catostrophic.

Negligence should not be tolerated at all. Give them a piece of your mind to the person who handled the battery terminals.

Amit, I think they might have called you for the customer satisfaction report, just give them a Strong bash, and not to write the wrong answers on the forum and do shoot a mail to the Fiat.. As they are least bothered about Fiat and trying to clean their hands off.

Unless FIAT starts control and ensure qulity like what Suzuki does these things will not improve , please make sure you provide the issue faced in your feedback.

Even after I tightened the battery terminal's, I still get the 'Airbag failure' messages. These messages don't come all the time, it's really random & I cannot predict when it will or will not come. It seems like the battery is on it's way off to me or is it something else? I plan to get the battery checked out today.
