Fiat CUV - Avventura - Launch in Oct'14, Booking Started

    Just went through the first drive posts, and the feeling is positive to start with. I feel it is a good start, and FIAT's positioning this as CUV is also a great thought. I am looking forward towards a good marketing execution from FIAT, since the overall idea seems very new and will create a lot of new ways to market this.

    I am missing the projector headlights and Bluetooth A2DP, feature in the gadget listing on Avventura.

    I Have a doubt. why all are saying that T-jet will increase the price of Avventura. For Linea Fiat is selling T-jet Linea Emotion 70 K Less than the price of 1.3 MJD Emotion. :confused::confused:

    Fiat is like our Legal System.
    Justice delayed is justice denied kind off.

    Small sales, 1000s of legal and financial issues and limitations. Company at large not sure where its headed and trying to make some inroads, but landing up in pot holes everywhere.

    The delay has caused them big time as market matures people will start looking for more and more options, if someone is offering a product thats not futuristic and not the first in industry with penetrative marketing, it will not survive. Competition had made the lethargic giants wake up and they are also now pushing a lot of innovation down the line.

    20 Version of 2 products with classic and new badge is what has lead to product image dilution, all looks same and people dont understand whats new.
    Learn from Honda or Hyundai, when a new version is launched old is taken off to ensure a single image which gets more additions and trusts. Prime example is Honda City many iterations have only enforced the customer trusts and loyalties. Ford did with fiesta, and classic still sells but new one never took over and built upon the image of old. Fiesta image dilution and class leading product finds hard to get off the self.

    Make two variants in each fuel category.
    1. Basic with all safety features without any bells and whistles.
    2. Fully loaded.

    Sell accessories as addons to basic, which allows buyers to do customizations. So if someone wants the rain sensing wipers on basic model, he should be able to buy company package and get installed.

    Aventura is too late and too less and to add to misery its kind of extension of punto, which is already in eyes of public, so its not going to be able to make an image, everyone will take it as hatchback ...

    Actually I am interested in this CUV, anyone have any idea about the pre-booking, is it started?

    Also is there any idea about the colours and variants offered?

    Wasnt this what we heard when Linea was launched.
    Almost everyone praised its handling, driving manners and gizmos.
    Admiration Guaranteed was the finest ad campaign that FIAT came up with.
    Result !!!

    It will also have image crises as faced by other cross or Nano for that matter.

    Should we not appreciate the effort with fantastic styling inside and out, premium touch-look-feel, higher GC, tyres, ride-handling etc?

    Do YOU like this car, or not? Does it have some USP-s for you or not?

    It does not take anything for us to say Fiat 'should' launch that engine, this Panda, that Palio or where is the 500l? or bring the viaggio!: each launch takes hundreds of crores. Even Honda has accumulated losses of thousands of crores in India (not counting export revenues). As have Ford, Chevy, VW, Skoda, Renault, Nissan. And this year, even Toyota Kirloskar and Tata have made losses.

    It just is not as obviously easy in the cut-throat Indian car baazar as we Fiat fans think. Fiat's proceeding correctly: slowly, incrementally. Though implementation though improved, could and should be better. First: dealerships/ASS. Second: heavy product refreshes. Third: New launch (Avventura). and only then, in 2015/2016: JEEP, including India assembled and made, and an all new Fiat launch in 2016.

    There are no shortcuts. Not unless ChryslerFiat has thousands of crores to gamble with, against poor odds, which it should invest in China rather than India, no?
