Of all that is shown in the Avventure, it is still a concept and it is clear visible with a few pointers like the clutch pedal, bonnet opening lever on the wrong side, blue n me available but the steering control button missing.

One needs to wait till the actual launch to see how much of the equipment will make it to the production version.

@Ghodlur, @prakhar: The model shown is a concept car. So, we cannot expect everything in the production model.

For pricing the vehicle competitively, they'll cut costs everywhere like halogen lamps instead of projector, regular tail lamps, regular rear fog lamp/reversing lamp, wheel size reduction, change in alloy design, seats, change in front grill design etc,.

Pricing - which is key to success in India - and features - which are on the wish-lists of FIAT enthusiasts - are antagonistic to each other. Not only FIAT-Chrysler, but also other leading car-makers like Ford, Renault, Honda, etc., compromise features/specs at the cost of pricing and they have succeeded in India, of course, except FIAT-Chrysler. Renault Duster, costing more than a million rupees, does not have ACC, hand-rest and dead pedal, speed-sensitive automatic central locking, ESP and cruise control! The new 2014 Honda City is equipped with sun-roof, but runs on slender tyres to achieve the best mileage in India! :(

Adding to this, even the LH door handle is from the Punto Active with manual lock and key hole. I highly doubt if this would make it to production with same looks and equipment.

The problem is everyone wants everything in a car at the least possible costs, and highly reliable too, while the car companies are there to make a profit and justify their business model. So they decide on a compromised interest for them as well as the customers. That is why they have the variants for those who want all and is willing to pay for it. It is the variants that they should really concentrate on It is a very difficult choice. One has to be in manufacturing to really know how difficult it is to have a tight leash on all aspects and still make a profit on the product. Car manufacturing is very complex as the customer aspirations keeps rising.

Suddenly the first post in this thread with the scoop picture (may be photoshoped) doesn't look too much out of place :clap .
However the real one is better looking.
Cummon Fiat !! Price it nicely and you will achieve the all the targets you have set for yourself in 2014.
Have they anounced the new Linea engine/gear box spec yet ?

I hope everybody realises that after all this hype of the Avventura is over we will be going back to reality : Linea & Punto

Let's talk about the Avventura when it comes for real. What you see is necessarily not what you get.

Can some tell me what the 4 buttons are for as indicated (by arrow) in the pic. I could guess the Hazard lamp & rear defogger, couldnt guess the other two. In any case isnt the location of these buttons unergonomic?

Are you sure? The buttons you mentioned are already there in the Climate control section IMO.
