About to post the pic but great that it is posted. Fiat fb page showing advertisements since 2 days with many pics related to auto expo 2014. Surely they have few plans under their hood.

We all are hoping they surprise us with some excitements.
It should not be like "Khoda Pahad, Nikla Chuha!"

But the picture shows the mount for the rear mounted spare tire just above the read fogs.
So, it could be the adventure as well!

Its Punto Avventure just see the Hinges attacked to rear bumper in pics.

Also check out the leaked pics of trials of Punto Avventure in Pune. Though the image is not so clear but still one can easily see that the alloys match... Punto avvv.jpg

If it's only avventure and new Linea with the same 1.3 mjd, I seriously doubt there's any future for fiat left in India. If anyone from Fiat India is reading this, please note that there would not be more fans who would opt for a 1.3 mjd for decades to come. Look at the competition, all the cars in the same segment have already received the 1.6 treatment.
Hope for some new launches and continued association with Fiat!

    Hi all,
Just read today's TIMES "Fiat to bring in SUV to take on rivals"!
Report reads that fiat plans to drive in a city SUV that ll take on models like Ecosport, Duster with 1.3 diesel and 1.4 petrol engine.
    So guys same old engine!
but launching a compact SUV may create some buzz!!!! who knows!
Moreover the report also says it has been designed for India where it will make its global debut!!!! Its AVVENTURA being developed on the same platform of Punto and Linea with a ground clearance of 200 mms (Does it sound like a taller punto like SUV???) and safety features of ABS and airbags.

So FIAT definitely is working on some plan. Only thing is hope they are thinking of something radical.

Few points to note, from above news -
    • It is a new concept, and has been designed for India where it makes its global debut.
    • Fiat will position it as a contemporary urban vehicle (CUV)
    • The vehicle will be launched later this year.
    • The new vehicle has a ground clearance of about 200 mms.
    • Expected to be placed aggressively with a starting price of Rs 7 lakh- Rs 8 lakh.
    • Avventura, is built on Fiat's existing platform that has given birth to the Punto and Linea.
    • There is time before we get a 4X4 version on the vehicle

This is going to be a city SUV that'll take on models like the Ford Eco Sport and the Renault Duster.
This concept is designed keeping the young people in mind.
The new car will sport the company's efficient 1,300cc diesel engine and 1,400cc petrol engine from current models.
Fiat has decided to defer plans for bringing the Jeep the iconic American SUV brand to India in view of the economic slowdown.
New launches from Fiat will include the Abarth range of high-performance cars and the new-generation models of the Linea sedan and Punto compact.
