    Thats because cars like Merc belong to entirely different class and the limited numbers of cars to be sold rnsures that those interested go and book it asap without even seeing it.

    Fiat belongs to a different segment where profits are already less per car sold as compared to premium and luxury segment.

    Totally agree with you Paddleshifter.

    The segment is totally different and one can not compare S Class sales figures with FIATs.

    My Speculation for the 2014 lineup

    1. Nova Palio - For Entry Level Segment expected to start from 4.5 lacs
    2. Faclift Punto - May See complete interior change
    3. Abrath - Turbojet Petrol
    4. New Linea- 1.6 & 1.3 MJD and TJet

    For entry level car, FIAT needs to take prices lower than 4.5 lacs for sure. For 4.5 lacs one can get base model of Swift as well which is not entry level car and even Punto starts at 5.10 lacs.

    They need to take the price as close to 3.80 lacs as possible.

    Fiat should not hesitate in removing extra features like complex CAN interface etc. and a heavy body shell from the entry level point of view. Even if the body shell is intermediate between that of Swift and Punto, it would be more than sufficient.

    Customers in entry level simply want decent interiors, great FE, low running/maintenance cost. No car offers safety features anyways around the 4 lac price point and no customer cares much about solid bodyshell etc. (Unfortunately this is true else i10 would have not been such a huge success).

    No, T-Jet will be the same.

    and There is no facelift Punto, its Punto Avventure (Adventure).

    New Linea will be having a facelift & little changes in break light.
    Interior is completely changed but the engine will be the same.

    Abarth will finally launch.

    Not sure about the name Nova Palio but a model somewhat like or in between Palio & Punto will be launching.

    JEEP will be missing again, I guess.

    That's a looker. Punto already have good gc and with those black skirts, it will be good for some rough handling
