its available for Rs.500 on various sites...
They are nothing but puddle lights used to throw lights when the doors are opened and helps during alighting from the car. In this case what Fiat is offering when that light is thrown a logo of Fiat will be seen. Its not what the ghost light does, its the after install headaches that one wishes to avoid.
Something very similar to the XUV sign being displayed from the XUV's OVRM's
Ghost light sorry for poor image
Is it blue ghost light as shown in above pic.I don't think it would be helpful while alighting to avoid puddle or mud, dirt.
On the pic posted by OP from FIAT twitter it is looking white.
If anybody has installed ambilights, please post pics of the apparatus and effect. Also, are these on the whole time of driving the car or switch off after the door closes?
Guys ambient light solution for FIAT Linea and Punto was achieved in 2011 itself, costs less then 200rs.
A complete DIY thread is already been put up, try to go through it
Looks like FIAT stole my idea
I should ask for royalty
Called up Ramkay Fiat, they have both the Ghost lights which are basically puddle lamps and the Ambilights for the interior, in stock. Both are priced at Rs.996 each plus installation labour. I think I will get the Ambilights, not sure about the ghost lights though.
Cool !!! Please post the pics after the install...
