Experience with PPS Fiat Bangalore

    Hi All,

    Please could anyone share their experience with PPS Fiat? replacing Vecto. I have been regular at Vecto. Even though I am located at Whitefield I used to take my drive to service at Vecto.
    I had been to KHT Prime for a small niggle (Tightening of passenger side seat). They did the job fine and the setup is quite good. However, not sure about the full service as they seemed to be understaffed.

    I have been using KHT service for past 6 years, and I have always had very good service from them.

    My service experience at KHT is horrible. The changed parts without my confirmation (to the tune of 13K) and also stole charger from the car. Still not resolved.

    I'm also expecting feedback on PPS Fiat, looking to change to a reliable one as I'm at 1.59L kms. Due to get to 1.6L pretty soon.

    Thankyou rajks and limraj. Hoping to hear from others about PPS. Otherwise will need to start looking for non authorized service. The risk being the parts and tools used may/may not be reliable.

    If only we had service centre for hiring in Bangalore, India with the required tools with a bit of knowledge and patience we could have service done by self.

    MFC have few programs on their website for self service of cars. However, when I visited them they did not acknowledge about this.

    Naruf: Not a review of PPS, but there are many Fiatians (including me) using the services of Pride cars. You can check out the thread for the same. May be useful if you are residing around West Bengaluru.
    Just a question to others: Does anyone have the personal contact number of Shivakumar who was the SA in Vecto?

    @naruf 1 - I had been to PPS two times, once when i had a left pulling issue. They couldn't solve the issue, took the vehicle to J K Automobiles, Hormamavu and it was sorted out. The owner of J K automobiles has a Palio, Linea and Punto and two guys who worked as Service advisors in KHT and Aadya.
    The other time I went to PPS was last week to top up the coolant.

    Hey dheep: The number you mentioned is not active. Also, the old number of Shivakumar was 9686669132. This is now being used by somebody from PPS Motors (Official number perhaps)

    I have been to PPS Fiat, Singasandra, Bangalore on 21 Sep 2019 for a dent repair. My impressions.

    Facility - Good.
    Business - Good. Too many cars. Mostly Fiat. They have Jeeps as well. The Jeeps are in periodic free services for now.
    Availability of spares - OK. (In my case it was the upper grill. I opted for cheaper black grill of Linea classic, which they had stock).
    Staffing - Adequate, well behaved. I was attended to in a min's time (I reached in the afternoon).
    Follow up/update - Needs slight improvement (Took 4 hours for the service guy to reach me after car was picked up. But, was OK later).
    Meeting time lines - May be OK. I was promised a delivery by 3rd day after pick up (insurance confirmation). Delivered on 4th.
    Sharing details with insurance - Needs slight improvement. They collected the 2 page insurance copy, but did not share.
    Pick up & drop - OK. They scheduled an appointment and the guy turned up on time. Same for drop too.
    Explanation of charges - OK. The guy explained probable replacement parts and even their insurance refund amount, there itself.
    Pushing unasked work - Needs slight improvement. A waxing of car was pushed in after a wash and when I said no, they removed it.

    Will I consider giving my car again? - Yes. Better than KHT. (But will go to KHT if it is the only FASS available and I need to go to FASS)

    May be I wrote this little too early.
    The recliner adjuster of the driver's seat was found missing in my car after the visit to PPS.
    I shall consider going to PPS again only if I have no other option. Or, I go there and wait till they finish and examine the car then and there.

    I took my car to J K Automobiles and the above recliner adjuster was in stock there and fixed for 150/-.
    I also replaced fluids and filters for 1.6L km service.

    Met the owner Jayakrishna there. He owns 3 Fiats. 2 Lineas (2.0L kms, 0.45L kms) and 1 Punto (1.8L kms). All 90 hp.
    He is also part of this very forum. He mentioned his handle (something similar to his name), but can't find him.
