@Anoop No bro its been like that for a year, and now since the petrol prices have gone up i thought i could get this fixed and get some mileage.
On a serious note, i wasn't sure if i should let anyone open up the bumper or work on anything close to engine apart from the ASS. So i left it as it is, and since the warranty is about to expire its better to look for a good Mech.

Your best bet would be a specialist exhaust repair shop. Every motor market has one of these shops.

50k to replace is just insane.

It doesn't seem major. The faces where the two pipes join have been deformed by the impact, hence leading to leakage. I'm pretty sure this can be removed and set right with a bit of creative welding (gas weld or TIG/MIG) +grinding . After that, join the two with a hi temp RTV sealant and the exhaust leakage should be a thing of the past.

    Cheers.

if its leaking go to a competant welder/ as Gurjinder suggested a exhaust repair shop. they will cut the broken flanges and weld new mating flanges.
between these flanges they will put a copper/ heat resistant gaskit. all will be fine.

I wouldn't suggest cutting the existing flanges off. Unless the welder REALLY knows his job and is using something like a TIG welder, the strength of the flange setup will stand compromised.

The best way is to repair the existing flanges and then seal them.

i have replaced my silencer. the rear chamber costs around 8k and the front pipe costs around 2k. the 50k qoute will be for the catalytic converter. even i was given that qoute before they agreed it was there mistake.

Finally got it done by Suri Garage in kormangala(blr). Awesome job done, just spent 1K. Didn't have to open the bumper also, only the lower shield was removed. Photo0074.jpg
