Fiat 1100 cars in India were built by Premier Automobiles Limited(PAL). PAL was started by Walchand Hirachand. Millecento means ElevenHundred. All 1100 Series cars are actually Millecento(ElevenHundred). But had different model names.

    Engine: 1089cc
    Power: Around 37bhp
    Gear: 4+Reverse. hand gear
    Drive: Rear wheel drive.
    Wheels: 14 inch
    Cooling system: Water cooled.

All the Fiats below, belong to Fiat 1100 Club - Bangalore(FCB). The Fiats shown are almost completely original according to their model.

    1954 to 1955 - Fiat 1100 Millecento:
It was popularly called "Dukkar". They had suicide doors. Tail lamps were called "anda"(egg) style, two round meters in the dash, Aluminium grill with Mustache!etc...

    1958 to 1962 - Fiat 1100 Select:

A very nice thread Arun. I feel most of us are drawn to Fiat is just not because they make very good cars but also because a lot of us have childhood memories of first car being a FIAT !!!! what say guys ??

atulalvenkar: Very true. Many have sentimental attachments with Fiats in India. Looks like the history will repeat again in the next generation with Palio, Punto and Linea. :up
