How is Total Quartz Energy 9000 compared to Mobil / Castrol for Petrol Engine.
Total Quartz are very good oils. Go ahead with it.
If any one else requires the same will be happy to arrange. I am getting it for around Rs. 3500 / pack of 4ltrs. Its available in the retail market for approx Rs.4400. Am not trying to sell just wanna help my fellow members get a good bargain.
Castrol Edge 5W-40 has Fiat 9.55535-S2 specification. Fiat recommends Fiat 9.55535-N2 for 1.3 MJD. Should I go for Castrol Edge? My Punto 1.3 has covered 11500 kms and I want to change engine oil now. Please advise.
You read my mind.
I was about to say that I've heard from reliable sources that castrol edge is a very good oil.
At 15000 Kms you have to have your 2nd free service done. so, If you change engine oil now, service center fellows will change it in another 3500 Kms. In my opinion, it is better to complete 15000 Kms and get the second service done and change the oil filled by FASS at 22500 Kms.
Here at Jaipur, Motul H-TECH Prime A3/B4, 5W40 is available for Rs.3200/- for 4 liter pack. Can it be used instead of Motul 8100 X-cess ?
You mean run our Punto 1.3 on Selenia till 1,50,000 kms? How can one be so cruel to his car?

if anyone has recently purchased the 5lt can of Delvac 1 in bangalore can you please let me know how much you paid.
I went to a nearby shop and there it costs 4400 . i felt it was too much as i had paid 3700 or something just about 8 months ago.
I really do not know anything about this particular oil. But you can shop around for Castrol Edge turbodiesel / Delvac1.
The recent service at TASS was my last and from now on i will be using Shell HX7 10w-40 semi synth , changed at an outside garage. Since i plan on changing oil+filter every 5-6k km's, the oil should hold up just fine. And it costs somewhere around Rs.300/litre. But bear in mind FIAT recommends only 5-40 so using any other viscosity is at your own risk ( Just a disclaimer )
Full synthetic oils rock, no two opinions. But in my case, they aren't making much financial sense.
P.S. There are no Sirs on TFI mate. We are all TFIans .
