So i dropped the Car for Timing chain upgrade.
When i went to check on it,i found that they were cleaning the oil sump.
So i asked them to fill in fresh oil instead of 6K old selenia.
And they refused to put in Castrol Edge, even if i purchased it from them, telling it will void the warranty.
Also, they denied selling oil filters as a counter sale product.

So i am back to Selenia, and yeah, with new timing chain, surroundings will be cleaned, along with the sump,so i am looking at half clean engine, without use of any flushing agent;)

I'm having FIAT grande punto, presently i'm using selenia 5W40 engine oil,i'm not satisfied the way its performing hence looking for a change?
Would you please recommend the equivalaent brand from the MOBIL range of products ?
Also what care need to be taken when changed with the brand of oil ?
do i need any flush before going to new brand ?

Thank you for interesting in our Mobil product. We would recommend Mobil 1
0W-40 fully synthetic oil for the Fiat Grande Punto.
Please also consider the manual recommendation. In addition, it is better
to check the car condition from drive feeling and engine oil consumption
    before changing engine oil.

Mobil 1 0W-40 would protect your engine from wear very well, keep engine
clean, and extend engine life. Fuel economy and better acceleration are
also benefit from Mobil 1 0W40.

Moreover, your car mileage must be considered if it is moderate to high,
Mobil 1 5W-50 is recommended due to higher viscosity grade and higher film

We would not recommend to top up our Mobil 1 product with other brand.

There is no need to flush engine before changing the engine oil. When
changing engine oil, please allow the old engine oil to drain completely
before filling up the new one.

    Best Regards,
  3. I am using Mobil Delvac 1, trust me car engine is liking it absolutely, sound at 2000 RPM and 3500 RPM is almost same if not the exactly same, no more booming noise what I used to get earlier at higher RPM, I did Bhadral flush and found lot of mildly thick sludge coming out with engine oil, it was looking like a grease!!

Refinement levels have improved a lot and NVH levels are low, comparable to new 2012 models:)
You will never regret going for Mobil 1 delvac, i was also looking for Valvoline blue extreme but it was not available in India.

    SO finally got my products:-
As per below attachment (Delvac1 4L:-3100 INR,Purolator and bardahl flush additive)

I just want to confirm with the above products especially oil filter is that fine of using swift filter ?,the shopwala told it is compatible and also said very rare users of Mobil Delvac1 product here in sangli district.
The product is of make APR-2011(imported).
I have also seen new Mobil Super formula 3000(it is mentioned on the can recommmended for FIAT with some numbers).
so need your comments before going for change;)

It's better to avoid Mobil1 0W40 range.Causes high wear n tear of the engine.Could've gone for Motul or Castrol Edge or Shell Helix Ultra 5w40.
