After 5 years and 1,22,000 km later i sold my BNW punto and bought another punto but this time HIP HOP BLACK and this is where my problem starts, I never owned any black color car earlier and now i am realizing maintaining a black color is real pain. But after reading this thread i understood its not such a difficult task if done in correct way and with correct products. Also i park my car in covered car parking .So following are my action plan.

    Every 4 months:
    1) Car wash with sonax gloss shampoo
    2) Claying with elastroform with uww as lube.
    3) Polishing with any good polish( not yet decided kindly suggest any good polish which gives hi gloss wet look and which can be applied easily with hand, can apply using rotary machine if it really make lot of difference)
    4) Wipe extra polish with IPA
    5) Sonax extreme protect+shine hybrid Npt as LSP

    Every Week:
    1) Wipe with jopasu Duster
    2) Wash with ultima waterless wash +

    Every Day:
    1) Wipe with jopasu Duster

Kindly correct me if i am wrong at any place or if i should replace any product, please do suggest keeping in mind that i am newbie in detailing world and looking to maintain my car in correct way at the same time getting hi gloss wet look.

I recently got the car detailed and I was suggested to use Meguiars Wash and wax for weekly washing combined with Jopasu cleaning daily. Now Iam trying to check online for the Meguiar product but hvent ben able to find one. What I found was a spray type wash and wax from Meguiar. Which brand was suggested to you?

3M is a known store where you can take your ride. Few local stores also quite good in detailing. Check for them , they will be cheaper than 3M.
