Thanks man. Much appreciated. Could you also post a shopping list? I know it can be extracted from your post, but feeling lazy ;). Let me quickly post this and go read something else, before my wife walks by and sees the words "shopping list" :D

There is something hidden in this comment SunnyBoi  . I feel like driving down to b'lore & be your student for sometime. For the punto I felt the finish much better than the factory finish.

How about a TFI Bangalore meet with our detailing guru @sunnyboi ?. We can all meet him and get some help in making already good looking puntos and lineas even better. He should be able to guide us which polish / wax goes well with our cars.

@sunnyboi I see that you have mentioned wetsanding . why did you do it ?.. Were there any over sprays or orange peel earlier ?

To be honest, every paint is different and the shopping list will vary accordingly. There is no one go-to list in my opinion :(

Nothing hidden Cinju, I have never polished a factory fiat paint finish before so I did not know whether it was hard/soft. Today was the first time and I learnt something in that respect :)

Why wet sand? Orange peel! pics here : http://www.teamfiat.co.in/do-yourself/53-diy-car-care-detailing-thread-75.html#post195067

I'm no guru man, I'm still a sisya :p trying to learn more about paint. We can definitely meet up and try different stuff! I'm game!

Puntoed - If you're getting it from US, it will be 110V, 60 Hz. in all probabilities. Do check that before buying, as you'll then also need a step down transformer of requisite capacity to use with it.

Instead of you can source from Europe, it will be 220V, same as ours.

However, if US is easirer for you, then I'll suggest Porter Cable 7424 XP - a much better machine than Meg's.

Agree. This is the main reason why I wouldn't buy electronics from USA.

I'm not convinced its better. PC 7424XP was rebranded and sold as Megs G100 - their first DA. G110 came out later now its G110 V2. Its more powerful than PC.

However it is economical - I'd buy this : Porter Cable 7424 & Foam Pad Kit - Car Buffer with Orange, 2xWhite, grey, red pads. With a usual autogeek 15% off coupon, it wont be that expensive either. I have both Meguiars and LC pads, I prefer LC pads though.

    Another one more hilarious !

Ok mine sometimes doesnt even wash, just wipes the car and either pulls up the wipers or overlaps one driver side wiper blade slightly over the other just to prove. :-D It's an old post but I couldnt resist.

Can someone advice me the best place to buy Meguiar's product online? I did some research and found autofresh.in gives good deal. Does anyone have any personal experience? Please suggest.
