There's no need to use anything fancy. I use a cheap detergent and piece of rag to clean the alloys. Works great everytime. Brake dust is a fact of life ; it'll always come back.

    +1,
if you are using a car shampoo then simply spray a bit of it onto the alloys and use a brush (tooth-brush also will do) to remove all the carbon dust from the alloys...

Secondly once in 2-3 months it would also make sense to remove the wheel completely and give the insides a thorough wash as well...

I would like to know if any good quick detailer products avaialble that can be used between waxing the car.
What I've noticed is this, after waxing the car holds a very very clean and wet look and feels like it just rolled out of the showroom.
after a week and my weekly wash I dont get that feeling at all..
I've heard that quick detailers are used for just such a purpose can anyone shed light on this please?

I use Meguiar's quick detailer but mostly to remove bird droppings and any marks, stains etc.
I clean with Jopasu daily and once a week I clean with ONR. After ONR, I use a Eagle One Spray Nano Wax that easily lasts a week. However, I have the 3 M paint sealant so my car is anyway protected so I don't need to wax for the rest of the year.

You can try the quick detailer, it's just 300 bucks. The Eagle One Clear Wax spray is about 480.

I'm currently using eagle one wax for the car.. will pick this up as well..
does "Wax spray" mean its a quick detailer ? Because when i went to Reliance autozone and checked this product out the sales fellow there was doubtful about this spray being the quick detailer...

Spray wax can be used in between conventional waxes, i.e. If you used a good coat of Collinite or 3M/Meguiar wax that last 6 months; then you can use spray wax after every wash. This could be weekly or fortnightly, whenever you wash with shampoo or ONR.
Spray Wax only goes as long as a week or two and can't replace conventional waxes; unless it is the Optimum Spray Wax or the Optimum Sealant.

Anyway, try the Meguiar's Quick detailer. Spray Wax can't be used as a quick detailer 'cuz it doesn not have any surfactants and may cause scratches if used on a dusty surface. On the other hand, Meguiar's quick detailer was a game changer when it was launched, If you over-use the spray wax; you can use the quick detailer to wipe it off.

@theblack - if you have access to ONR, you can use ONR as a QD. I am using the QD made by mixing ONR with water (I do not remember the exact ration, will post it later) and it works wonderfully.
@Relativity - since you have access to Megs QD and ONR, can you kindly make some QD with ONR and compare both? It will be interesting to know which one is better.

@ Anoop - I am almost out of ONR & nobody is elling it at the moment so I will save it for my weekly ONR wash.
Once I get ONR stock, i will try to make a QD and post the comparison.

@Relativity - I read in TBHp that ONR is in talks with 2 or 3 distributors for India - so, hopefully, we should get ONR soon.
