@ sungoa & ganges- Thanks guys! It's a tough job to maintain the looks! Thanks to this thread and also an equally fanatic, obsessive owner of Punto:devilface. Also equally tough to see the strange looks people give in my apartments, seeing a guy spending weekend afternoons cleaning the car in various ways (jopasu duster, multicolored & multiple micro fiber clothes, clay bar, 2 buckets of water, shampoo):evilsmile

How do you find the difference with claybar and without it. How many time we can use it, before throwing it in dustbin ?
Every body in my residence get the cleaning by another person. People may be thinking that I am miser but I don't want to miss the satisfaction of looking at the Punto after a proper wash. Also some 100-150 cal burn:D

+1 dude! exactly my views too!

Clay bar is really a blessing. Punto's exterior was not smooth and had many tar marks earlier.
Clay bar has now made the exterior super smooth and collinite 915 has added a much more silky touch too it::T

I think one clay bar can easily last 4-5 detailing sessions.

4-5 detailing sessions? You mean 4-5 full punto detailing sessions?

Yes 4-5 full punto detailing sessions(my feeler), the product(Motherss Clay Bar) mentions upto 6 times.

I do a daily inspection and dusting on my Punto. There is no tar or any sticking substance. Only dust is there and that I remove by a home made duster using soft cotton Dhothi.
So if the surface is already clean claying is required? The cost of a bar is pretty high.

I also protect my Punto from sun in goa. Whether to take the car or not decide on the possibility of getting a proper parking slot. Otherwise prefer to use public transport. So it is more correct to use the word 'look after' than 'maintain' . :D

    @ sungoa-'look after ' is a word I agree!
I used the clay bar as the car's surface was quite rough.
Would suggest to run throught the car's exteriors with your hands, if smooth then you dont need a clay bar.(any suggestions welcome)

And yes it's costly but got it as got the clay bar & collinite 915 only @ Rs 2000!

One more question about tire maintenance. Does tire polish reduce the durability of tires on long run? I am using very diluted shampoo for cleaning tire.
