Thanks guys, I am not going to use it.

For Rs 475, they did remove so many scratches, so not lost much :).

@Ravi: now that he have removed the scratches, follow it up soon with a coat of good wax, to give the protection.

@anoop..FYI..I did not let the kerosene stay on the car for long. Just dabbed a drop on the cotton swab and after the cleaning the tar stain, I immediately cleaned it with diluted car shampoo. Diesel does damage the surface so does kerosene, if left for long.
The clear coat is intact without any damage still todate.

@nbvcrao: it is good to hear that your clear coat is safe -but why take risk when we have other proven and methods ? next time if and when you use kerosene, follow it up with a good coat of wax too.

A polish in 20 days is a bit over the top, Rao. Polishing is required only once in 3 months or 6 months.

Use a good wax to protect the surface - if you want the best which is available easily, go for collinite 845. Other good companies are Mothers and meguires. There are brands like Blackfire, poorboys etc, but the availability is very restricted in India.

guys, if anyone has used turtle wax, need your help in identifying if the turtle wax i saw in a shop in my city is genuine or a fake product.. though it has been mentioned as imported by xenos n all, i m a bit skeptical, was quoted a bit over 450 for 0.5L bottle.

@Varun it is really tough to identify it from the looks. Check with Parijath. They have some good original stuff . Else an online purchase would be fine

@varunrtr: Seems genuine. Most of the fakes I have seen are of paste waxes - mainly that of Formula 1. I can see this item listen in Xenos's website, so I think we can reasonably assume it is original.
