I used to wash. But I avoid inner side since I don't know how it react with sun control film in a long run. Very important point is avoid washing plastic area with shampoo, especially the one on bonnet and the wiper blades. It will fade. I also avoid soapy water entering in side ORVM.

I have a doubt about second step. Do we have to use clay bar.I think you have not mentioned about clay in your post. When I checked at ebay the price was like a bomb. (Item image Meguiar's G1001 Smooth Surface Clay Bar Rs. 2397). Is there any other brand?

We are getting the Mothers Clay Bar kit which is highly rated, along with entire range of Mothers, as we have taken distribution of Mothers wax. You can see it from many blogs that many are actually looking for some good buffing machine. So if you are able to provide any good product with some support like consumables, it would be really fine. This is just a suggestion from my side..Good luck !!!

Am facing a challenge. Sometime back somebody has ruined bonnet & front left fender of my Linea with deep scratches. These scratches are bugging me & forcefully "telling" me that I'm driving an "old" car. I hate driving an "old" car. I like driving a New or "Like-new" car.

This is what I am up against:

And this is what I'm trying with Com-Paint (Pls pour in with suggestions : )

Tried Com-Paint again. this 2nd trial making me more familiar resulted in better result than y'day but still not 100%. The scratches are disappearing completely but the surface finish is not smooth. Also, multiple small small drops impressions are visible. The issue is the spray button of com-paint bottle is hard, so when you spray & even if you try a stroking motion (horizontal/ vertical), a bout of spray is sprayed on a spot as the button can't be pressed uniformly while stroking as its hard. If you can continue the button pressed with the same pressure with spray emanating uniformly & you give stroking motion, then it would result in even & uniform spray. Same thing for Com-merge. The spray outflow is quite strong. I've to see if the application of Com-cut rubbing compound advised after 72 hours makes the surface smoother.

Another thing I noticed is use of sand paper seems to reduce the effect of these small small drops impressions a bit. However, if you use sand paper, the surface / clear coat seems to be affected so much that the surface looks "scrubbed" or "rubbed" with the shine/ gloss completely gone. That means once you use sand paper, you HAVE TO use Com-Paint mandatorily.

Alternatively, I tried Com-cut rubbing compound only on a few scratches again. Its removing scratches but the cut in paint is visible (its turning that cut from White to Flamenco Red).

:wow got my new diy products, the turtle wax and glass cleaner cost rs200 each,got it directly from xenos after some negotiation, they didn't had dashboard clener at that time, so still in search of one,can anyone please recommend some which is likely to be available at kolkata. :anyone
gave my car a wash and waxed it. got great help from my bro,specially during buffing...really its hard work,have anyone got a machine recently? some pics are given..
