hi guys i have recently blackend the b pillars in my punto.

did DIY, bought matte finished vinyl from local dealer,

size 30x45 cms for each side.

    price 250 bucks.

    time consumed 4 hours.

i would like to suggest one thing, dont try to doit in a single day, do one side on a day and other on next day,
also don't be impatient,go slow and steady.

i think the car is looking more muscular now, what say ?

And I thought, a DIY thread would have detailed steps that have been followed to perform an intended task.

I believe every Active owner should get the pillars blackened using matt vinyl (glossy vinyls lose their quality quicker as per installers). I got the pillars blackened from a shop for Rs300/-.

@vtlreja2- You missed the C-pillar area highlighted in red.

Good job car looks much better but I would have got it done at the sticker store itself instead of spending four hours on it. They would have done it in thirty minutes or lesser. Years back I got it done for my Palio after I had repainted the whole car.

I am surprised that they are not blackened out from the factory. My Linea has it.

    thanx brother,

i agree with you brother, but here in my city i can't trust anyone who can do good job, there is no branch of high end showrooms like 3M or so on,

& 4 hours for both sides as i am a newbie :D. they might be professionals.

& only dynamic and emotion punto comes with these black b pillars, not active so have do this exercise.

brother, i was alone during this process so can't explain the whole DIY and click the photos,

moreover, wind was also strong making the vinyl stuck its own,

@AmeyKhedekar - You can apply regular vinyl available at shops where they make car number plates. I have also got the pillars blackened from them only.
