There is an extra wire in my punto's cabin light. One of them is the B&M mic's wire and there is another black wire also. Do you know which is which?

I also did cabin foot light in my punto. I used warm white LEDs.

I had taken two independent connections from both the bulbs to both sides so that I can switch on and off each side separately. When I turn on the left side bulb alone the led lighting on the left side alone comes ON.

    Same with right side:

Thanks to Viny for the detailed steps, it was very usefull.:)

    :)
Fayad: Excellent implementation also liked your single side implementation, though not sure under what circumstances it would be a better option, but then it looks good :)

I hope you enjoyed the DIY, now enjoy the beauty of this feature too :)

Thank you icon_e_smile.gif Its almost the same colour as the roof light.
Thank you :) It feels good as it works just like the roof light.

The usefullness? We can switch on the passenger side lights alone without bothering the driver or vice versa, the same reason why Fiat gave us an option to switch on the roof lights individually.

I'm thinking of adding a resistor as its too bright for me.

I dont remember an incidence when i would have required to put on the passenger side light alone :p
So could not think about it benefits :(
None the less if FIAT has implemented that feature, then for sure there might have been some situations when only passenger side light was required.

Yeah, we dont need it most of the time, its not a great feature just that its good to have. :) But I do remember an instance long back when dad was driving and I switched on the cabin light(in our old alto i think, so no dual lights) he was uncomfortable cos of the glare at night.

Ya that could have been a practical reason :)

The independent roof lights are also called "Map Lights" :D. Guess that explains their utility. Independent footwell lights may not be so useful, but nevertheless look great :D
