Hi Ramesh, excellent pics and Rameshwaram-Danushkodi is something I have been planning for long time.
Do you have an idea about the weather there during late Feb or early March?
Would it be too unbearable hot weather during that time?

Rameshwaram is usually hot. But, it was very pleasant and cold at night when I visited. I suggest you to visit by end of Feb before the summer kicks in. :)

I visited the Big Temple (Brahadeeshwara Temple) again in the early morning of 14th (Tuesday) to take some shots without any crowd. We started from Tanjore at around 10.30 am and drove towards Nagapattinam to get back to the ECR again. I drove very sedately throughout and we had our lunch at a hotel in Karaikal. Tranquebar is very near to Karaikal and we spent for an hour at the Tranquebar beach. Again started our journey towards Chennai on the ECR.

Ramesh, If I remember correctly, Nagapattinam was the worst affected town during the 2004 Tsunami.
How's the town, is it back to to its normal state or there are reminiscent of the disaster?

Sharing a brilliant documentary on the Big Temple from the Discovery Channel. I have already posted this on other threads. Sharing it again for the record. :)

Honestly, I do not know the impact of the damage in Nagapattinam. And I did not get into the town as well. If I remember correctly, Cuddalore was the worst affected town and now the town is back to shape.
