Guys, some of you might have seen me cribbing about water logged hyderabad roads , today i had to drive through such a road. After i went through it i saw the yellow light near battery light on dash glow and "Check Engine" message on MID. Did any of you guys face similar situation or get similar message ? I am going to check again after another hour or so to see if still comes thought of asking TFI'ans what they think.

I hope it goes of after water evaporates if any has gotten into exhaust.

Thats the EBOD.. some sensor.. (see manual) water must have entered through the tailpipe...

DO NOT ignore the issue if the error still exists. take your car to TASC.
talk to your regular SC advisor at the earliest..

You might need to use RSA to take the car to the workshop..

Fingers crossed, keep us updated with the issue...

I called up nearest dealers roadside assistance, he'll be coming in an hour or so ... i searched on net for similar issues .. a lot of people have reported similar issues and most of the times they've been resolved by starting the car in gear .. i don't want to do it .. let TASC take care of it. will keep posting

I had a similar issue a couple of months ago when I went thru water. The check engine sign was on and would refuse to go. Itook the car to TASC,but the first attempt they couldnt resolve it and said they would need half a day to investigate. They asked me to continue to use the car as it was drivable. I used in the same manner for a couple of weeks. Then I fixed up a day and they that water had entered a sensor and had corroded it. They changed the sensor and the issue was resolved. So I guess there is no need to panic.

Thanks abdul .. infact TASC told me the same thing .. they have ordered "accelerator potentiometer no 1 sensor" which will be fixed FOC under warranty i checked their diagnosis system and it said there was a short circuit somewhere... plus the gear issue was resolved by their roadside tech by moving car back and forth... he said there was some jam near clutch slave cylinder. The best thing i like about FIAT is they never make a fuss to fix something under warranty .. never heard them whining about it...by the way this time i went again to Tejaswi and i really liked their work the only department they need to work on is delivery of vehicle after work is done, it takes lot of time

Bang on !! I've mentioned it several times on forum my such experiences. Never any hesitation from Fiat sometimes even in extending warranty to parts which are not covered, as a good-will gesture. Not many manufacturers do that. In fact, most of them, particularly those known for better service usually are found discouraging & avoiding replacing spares under warranty & one has to fight for it.
There is a reason for that too. Washing & interior cleaning. Again I found both TASc's that I visited to be the best in washing & interior cleaning every time I visit even for a small half an hour job. At times, I've to refuse them to take my car for washing when I'm in hurry to leave.

Amit in this particular case it's not washing but understaffing .. they were only TATA dealers and i think about month and a half back they started FIAT too...also their service centre is not fully operational bldg is still under construction....I don't know if many will agree but my observation has been that newly opened TASC are whole lot better than old TASC

Yes. May be because they do not carry any perceptions/ notions about servicing particular profile of cars or particular customer segment.

On the other hand, I've noticed the Mumbai TASC Fortune Powai to be better in terms of technical expertise in Fiat as their entire Fiat technicians team has joined them from earlier Fiat-dealer Anuroop
