    Hello All,

I was driving briefly in 3rd or 4th gear at 3500-3600 rpm, with accelerator in full throttle for some seconds (20-30 sec). Suddenly, the engine stopped pulling for a sec and then the engine warning light came on (Check Engine).

I stopped, turned off the engine and after 10 mins turned it on....the warning light is not lit now....post that i drove to my office (around 6 kms).

    Am in in trouble now?

Yes. Your car has notified the insurance company and they relayed a signal to trigger the MIS. Next time you revise your policy the premium amount will go up.

That was a joke. Check if it happens again without trying to go all out with it. Use the diesel in it's effective torque range and be happy.

Whenever you get time, have the ECU read by the examiner at FASS. Some code would be stored inside.

Till then keep driving if it's driving fine.

Probably an issue with a Turbo hose or something
