Why don't you consider multiple layers of Plexiglass, in place of MDF? Adhesion would definitely be better, not to mention better resistance to moisture?

Also planning to shift the CPU to the boot and place it along with Amplifier.
Just calculating the cable length and routing possibilities.

Initially I was thinking of buying a ready made woofer box. But then the idea of making a DIY subwoofer box popped up. Calculated the box dimensions using online calculator. Verified the space available in the boot for the box.

Found an unused plywood which is enough for a sealed box. I am planning to seek the help of a carpenter for cutting the wood.

Also planning to paint it black rather than covering it with carpet cloth.

    DIY amplifier and subwoofer install

Instead of making the box, I finally bought a ready-made box from BAASSFX.
Talked to the owner and came to know that they opened a branch in Mumbai at Sion koliwada.
Later Amit bhatt, handling mumbai operations called me and delivered the box to my office at Airoli.
He also gave me the complete product range brochure and price list. They also have a dealer in Mulund who can also provide installation services.

I bought the Atom B120 model for 12inch sub for 1500 rs. It looks better than the product image listed on their website and the specifications are also matching to my sub. I was playing the sub + amp at my home using the carputer and installed it in my car after that.

This was a complete DIY and the difference is awesome. Now the components are getting enough juice and actually started singing.
Will post the images later as half of the images are taken using phone.

This was what I was looking for.

Are you using the stock HU or after-market?

Will using an AMP and SUB with the stock HU and after-market speakers give better quality music?

I am having the old active model without HU.
My HU is a basic JVC model (which is actually a dummy).
    My main ICE is carputer.

    New wiring kit

    Passing wire through firewall.

This is very easy, the provision is already there.
First remove the plastic part above the wipers. There are 4 screws to remove.
Remove the rubber seal, make a hole in it and pass the wire through the seal.
Then pull the wire from inside the cabin

    The rubber seal.

Amplifier and sub woofer in the trunk.

Twisting wires like this ensures maximum contact area and ease of connection.
