    Hello from Australia.
I would like to share the history and photos of my historic Fiat race car.
This is the 1965 Fiat 1500 raced by Carlos Reutemann in 1965 -67 in Argentina.
Carlos won the 1966 and 1967 world rally championships with this car.
The car was road registered in Argentina in 1965, Registration number: DA2336.
It was originally a factory left hand drive vehicle painted factory Fiat metallic blue with a white stripe and number 53 livery as can be seen in the early photograph. In the photos you can still see the original metallic blue paint in various places on the car even though it has had multiple liveries painted on it over its years of competition and it has been painted British racing green for many of those years.
It was exported to the UK in early 1970's and was road registered with registration number : TOB437H
    Chassis number : 1150725992
    Engine number : 115C000573967
It was later sold and exported from the UK to Australia where it was prepared for historic Appendix j racing.
The Fiat had been converted from LHD to right hand drive and now had a British racing green with yellow stripe livery and was given racing number 36.
It raced throughout the 1980's and 90's, its last race was in 1998 then it was parked and abandoned for 16 years on an Oakdale farm in NSW Australia.
Photos show the historic Fiat as found in 2015, following photos show its history from 1965 until its last race in 1998.
I hope forum members enjoy the photos.

Thanks for the welcome to this forum my friend.
Makes me happy to think that someone has enjoyed reading some of the history and photos of the historic Fiat race car.
I am proud to be the race cars current custodian and it would be great to have people's input about how it should be preserved.
So you believe it should be totally restored? Is that correct?
I thought it would be best to leave it as it was to save all the original patina and history thats under the paint etc.
I am interested to hear your thoughts and the thoughts of other forum members as to what needs to be done and how this historic Fiat should be looked after.
Please feel free to post your thoughts and replies regarding this or any questions you may have regarding the car.
Before i forget, the E30 is a 325i 6 cylinder speed manual with tan leather interior and is absolutely immaculate!
Again, thank you for welcoming me to the forum.

@Reutemann1500 welcome to TFI and that is one amazing piece of history you have shared with us. From the pics the car and the engine still look to have a lot left within and it is always great to see a FIAT holding its age and grace.
Have a pleasant stay on the forum.

    Cheers,
    Pradeep.
