Yes, that's an alignment issue, has to be fixed. Will do it myself by March end as can't travel to CHD for this again.

Another DIY mod done to car. Added rear cabin light using OEM parts. Ordered the front cabin light and bracket of Active variant. Costed approx 550.00. Picked the female coupler connector from a totaled GP.

Had to open the A Pillar, B-Pillar lower and upper to free the roof lining to confirm the location and also to get the bracket in place.

The bracket had to to be trimmed

After getting access to the inside of the roof lining found that the area has already been marked for the rear cabin light, however cost cutting and hence no rear light in Punto, but its there in Linea

Wiring connected to the coupler by soldering and using heat shrinks. Thin foam rolled on to the wire to avoid any noise.

Took measurement from front cabin light and made a cut in the roof lining 122mm * 58mm.

3M double tape of Automotive grade was used on the bracket. Bracket as carefully placed over the roof lining and not sticking to the roof yet. Placed the cabin light from inside into the bracket and then pushed it all against the roof for a perfect fit. Took out the cabin light to do a pressure check and the bracket was holding on good.

Coupler was connected and now it functions just like the front cabin light and can also function individually if need to just use the rear cabin light. Bulb on both were changed to LED. Procurement of the right side LED bulb 42mm took a months time as it was not available anywhere ( amazon, ebay, flipkart, etc ). Had to be imported from China via aliexpress. Changed to LED to reduce the load on the wiring as the normal bulbs are of 10W each.

Thanks @anupam sharma . Seat cover and steering work was done by Eminent seat covers in Delhi. The owner stays in Gurgaon ( Palam ). Lookup their details on FB . Negotiate hard and then say you want them to come to Gurgaon and do the work for you

Had to do the wiring from the front cabin light to the coupler which then connected to rear cabin light

    Brilliant!

And yet:ever so sad, from an ecological ie humanist point of view (Aravalli's pretty wanton-'urban development' ongoing destruction, including water courses/watershed.....and peahens/peacocks' habitat in Gurgaon and beyond etc)
