    Nitin,

Long time no news since 14,100 kms.

How much miles have your ride munched by now? :)

And BTW, nice trip to Gujarat last year. Bangalore to Gujarat is a long trip and I'm sure you must have enjoyed Gujarat fabulous roads except Mumbai - Surat patch. Even in that patch, those bridge construction work is over now, I heard.

EDIT: Your 2 different threads related to your Ownership Experiences are merged to create One single thread.

    Hi Guys

My short updates. I am silent reader of this forum.

Due to job change, With family relocated to Pune, Ambegoan and well settle here.
    OD: 59000 km

Any one knows near-by good fiat service center?

We left bangalore at 4 AM. Near tumkur we faced major problem and we are lucky that we had no injuries at all.

All of sudden I saw stone in middle of road. I tried to escape but it hit left front tyre and hear huge damm... noise. Speed was around 100kmph. The car was totally under control and I stopped side by and saw that left front tyre has no air. I tried to replace with wheel I could not able to do that due to bolt which was not holding grip. I was with my wife & 2 kids. I drag a car to tumber and found panchar wala but it was closed luckily contact no was mention in shop , so i called him he came after 45min. He took 1 hour to remove bolt.

The allow wheel was totally gone for toss. It had a big hole and same to tyre as well. He replaced the tyre and we left from there. We reached hubli went to service center took extra rim wheel and asked for wheel allignment & balancing, SC suggested that is not required and go slowly.. reached pune at 8 PM.

Next day went to mumbai and bought 1 tyre and 4 mac wheel from lamingtan road- Grant Road costing 22k.
    Regards
    Nitin

    Hi All,

I am posting here after long drive (period), The current ODO is 118000. I do not found any other car in the market competing Punto with ride & build quality that do not make me exciting to buy new car that means I want to keep punto as longer period as I can.

I did not face any major issues except wears & tears.

During last service, The SA advice me to change the connector that connects to engine - refer pic as there is a leakage . The cost will go to 12-15k that includes materials also, I was surprised about just a small connector and asked reason for high charges, He replied that we will give this to BOSCH and they will fix with the help tools that they have invested that cost to Rs 2 core. This tool is only setup in Pune. Meanwhile He also suggested that you can buy this from BOSCH (they are the only supplier) and we will fix it free of charge.

As I do not have any technical background and went with the 2nd option. The car is doing good, But back of my mind still question roam around Is this option2 is safe? What I am missing here?

Did someone came across such issue? Does anyone having idea about it that please share?

The another issue I am noticing while driving is that tik-tik noise coming from 2 different location , one from front left – this is related to shock absorber that I am sure while roads are uneven and another from steering wheel that I feel with combination while applying slight little brake.

    Please do share your thoughts

It is the mass Air Flow Sensor. its 4k at 99rpm . The connector is not listed at 99rpm.But you can check with them about the same,

Now, do you say , you car is running fine? and SA suggested replace next time around ? I would say, If the car runs fine, Then do not do any repairs. :)

Oh you already changed the mass air flow sensor ? then hopefully the issue you had is solved.

by the way, one source of the tik-tik can be caliper pins, it is more like it vibrates when the road surface is rough (small pebbles or stones on road). It would not come when you are going over bigger things, like craters/hump. You need to do a caliper greasing/pin change, cost should be around 500-1000 Rs.

If you get the sound on bigger undulation, then it is something related to shock absorbers. will be expensive.
