Snake bites model's bust, dies of silicon poisoning
Received a call from one of my know person in morning. He said that S*** N** was showing earhquake warning in Delhi, Moradabad and Haridwar between 19 th to 22nd March 2011. This channel also told that earthquake would be of very high intensity. If mentioned lication is correct than Zone 4 should be suffered and risk can be very high.
I am not at all believing on this as I've not seen\listened myself any such news on any news channel. Does anyone else also saw\listened this warning on S*** N** today between 12:00 AM to 1:00 AM.
If earthquakes could be predicted, Japan would have been the first to do so isnt it?
Tata Nano soon to be available off the shelf in Big Bazaar outlets
http://www.autocarindia.com/news/tata-n ... big-bazaar
Tata Motors has struck a deal with the Future Group to sell the Nano through the Group’s Big Bazaar consumer retail network. This tie-up is a first-of-its-kind move in the country’s passenger car segment. (The ITC-promoted e-choupal initiative for farmers displayed tractors at its rural malls)
The Nano will be displayed at 120 of Big Bazaar’s 148 outlets where prospective buyers who book it will get gifts such as gold coins, and vouchers worth Rs 1,500.
For Tata Motors, the tie-up is an additional sales channel that brings in an estimated 18 million footfalls every month. For the Future Group, this is a way to explore the business potential of adding a vehicle to its range of products.
Nano sales have picked up since December 2010 after the company announced a four-year warranty for existing and new customers. The company sold 8,262 Nanos in February which made it to the top 10 cars in terms of sales after a five-month gap.
Honda, GM to increase price effective 1/April
http://motoroids.com/honda-cars/honda-t ... ril-1.html
Honda Siel Cars India will be increasing the prices of their cars by 2-3% from April 1. The company is attributing the price hike to the rise in the prices of commodities. The prices will be increased across the board except for the company’s 2011 Accord sedan, which was introduced only recently.
Increasing commodity prices have been putting pressure on the auto industry for quite a while now, and most carmakers have been making sounds about them having to raise the prices eventually. GM India is also geared to raise prices of their cars, and after Honda’s announcement, we can only expect the rest of the carmakers to follow suit. So as we had told you earlier, book you car now if you want to save a few bucks.

http://www.cartradeindia.com/car-bike-n ... 13640.html
The French car maker Renault is gearing-up to roll-out five new car models in the Indian market by year 2012. The company is investing Rs 4,500 crore for establishing a manufacturing plant at Oragadam, Chennai with its Japanese partner Nissan. The company is aiming at a figure of 70,000 units over the period of next four to five years. While its Fluence sedan will be rolled-out in the country by May 2011, the Koleos SUV will hit the Indian roads by October 2010.
In a recent statement given to Business Standard, Renault India’s managing director, Marc Nassif said, “On the industrial side, our plan to invest Rs 4,500 crore before 2015 is clear, with the Japanese partner Nissan, at Oragadam, near Chennai for setting up a manufacturing unit with a capacity of 400,000 vehicles a year. First model from Renault for India will be Fluence, by mid-2011, is on track. India has confirmed with Brazil and Russia as a top priority for Renault expansion.”
Moreover, the company is planning to cover over 80 per cent of the car buying geography in the country and is all set to open about 10 new dealerships in India by mid-2011. The company will be mainly focusing on mid and upper middle class buyers.
The Duster is one car which should change the market dynamics if priced right. It will be a 5 seater though, but it will probably come with a add-on for further 2 seats if required.

Stocks and kits for HONDA cars will last only for a month, after that God only knows
It will be a Big **** for the Japanese car Manufacturers :shocked
I guess it will be a problem only for Honda. Toyota sources its parts from SE Asia and Suzuki has enough production here itself.
