Thanks Shashank and Vj_V1 for you inputs.
Its been two days i am doing follow up from my side. Today service advisor said still they have not received reply or 'Approval' from company for BCM replacement. Also they do not see any intermediate status of approval process. Warranty staff asked me to wait till tomorrow as he is expecting reply/approval by tomorrow but did not give any reasoning for same .
    Finger crossed.
If further delay happens for approval then i am thinking writing to customer service to expedite. cheers.

I could not find this link before.
I have the same issue which I have posted in the link: http://www.teamfiat.com/threads/high-beam-working-but-low-beam-does-not.12652/

In addition to the above issue, today for the first time, I got the error Airbag failure. As per all the posts, it mostly is a battery issue and I will get it checked.

Just wondering if both these issues are related. In another thread, I read that the connector switch was replaced which cleared this error.

Can both of these issues be connected?

I some how missed this thread. I have been facing the issue of high beam and fog lamps not working on my Punto for the past couple of months. The issue is they sometimes work, sometimes doesn't. Checking with FASS came up with the answer that BCM needs to be replaced. The cost was 21k + labour.
Thought mine was a unique case, but now see that several others have faced the same issue. Maybe its time FIAT did some RCA and take necessary actions to prevent premature failure of this part.

First check all the fuses etc. Ask them to replace BCM temporarily from another car and prove that headlights are working fine. If you dont want to spend much on BMC there are tricks to bypass BCM and operate the headlights directly.

All fuses and connections were checked. Technicians at Mohandas Motors spent several hours on two occasions trying to diagnose the issue before coming to the conclusion that BCM is at fault. They did not charge me any labour as the issue was not rectified.
A few others too suggested connecting the headlamps bypassing the BCM. Any pointers in that direction will be helpful.

My Lineas left side headlight press bulb light (small bulb under low beam) not working... RS Motors explanation BCM issue... without checking the wiring etc... I plan to get it checked outside.
I have heard People geting BCM repaired outside... by resoldering the dead spots on the BCM board.

My front left dim light and rear left parking is not working. I got it chkd from electrician and there is no current comin.... according to FSC the BCM problem. The electrician tried connecting direct feom the right dim light bulb.... but both switching off.... after connceting thus this jhugad doesn't apply to Fiat. Now another method is try to get the BCM repaired as one guy in Andheri is doing as oer him.Just for dim light I dont wish to take the risk....
Any body tried.... BCM or another jugad to make the light work

The main cause for BCM issues is due to water entering the car. Water mainly enters from the deteriorated windscreen seals and plays havoc with the BCM and the window ECM. If your floor mats are wet or if the roof lining is wet or if you find that your fuse box is damp or moist, take your car to a windscreen specialist and get the windscreen resealed.
