Friends, my Punto EVO Emotion Diesel has completed 8 years / 74000 kms. Since few weeks, my Blue and Me is not working. I cannot receive calls using car's Bluetooth. Odometer keeps flashing and USB port is not functioning. The workshop people told me that there is an issue with ECU and it needs to be replaced. It is costing Rs. 21000/- This is huge. Is there any other option? I am planning to sell out car in a year or so (only because of poor after sales service and non-availability of spares). Also, having enjoyed Punto a lot, I am struggling to choose its replacement (Hyryder/ Creta/ Breeza/ Nexon/?). Please suggest.

There are multiple channels to find spares and services. Online spares are available from boodmo or 99rpm. You could also consider joining a WhatsApp or Facebook group and get your parts addressed through them. It is the real question everyone would face (and later realise even more harshly) that Fiats are tough to be replaced. The cars you have mentioned are nowhere near to Fiat. I would suggest you to look at VW/Skoda cars - Taigun/Kushaq/Virtus/Slavia if new, at similar or slightly higher budget. If considering used cars, you have may go for Jeep Compass/Octavia/Jetta/3 Series/other European cars at similar prices. Jeep Compass is the regular choice for upgrade from Fiats. However, new one is priced very high.
