Blue & Me Software Version update & All other queries

My punto is may 2012 manufactured so does the blue and me needs to be updated?how to find out the version?

sorry if the question has already been answered somewhere before.

 

this querry is for Integrated Blaupunkt player.
i have found that when i play MP3 CD, on HU display the directory name starts with DIRECTORY 3 and why doesnt it starts displaying DIRECTORY 1 ? though it plays all the songs from the CD.

 

Just back after trying to update my June 2012 Punto to BluenMe version 6. The MID display kept reading UPDATING before which the BluenMe lady said "update started". After a couple of minutes, UPDATING vanished and after another 2 mins got a Italian/French lady speaking something with USB ERROR: 10 on display. Now the lady always speaks in Italian/French.

I'm still able to access BluenMe menu from steering controls (all menu info are in English) and the media plays fine. Userdata got erased and phone information also got deleted. I feel an upgrade has happened but with wrong language.

Things I've verified:
1. I have downloaded the correct language pack 'Aggiornamento_BlueMe_12_3_UK.zip'
2. The My Car menu language is set to English only. From this I came to know that My car and BluenMe are totally unrelated.

Will retry the upgrade after sometime.

In the world of Microsoft, Updates are always a trouble :A

 

Pheww.. updated process worked fine with a 16GB HP pen drive. I was previously trying with a 2GB HP pen drive.

Just sharing few details about Blue and ME

1. Its based on ARMV4I architecture
2. It uses ScanSoft VoCon3200 Recognizer for our voice recognition system, incidentally the Scansoft has added Asian Languages, we are still to a addon voice package for Blue and ME Asia specific.VoCon 3200 - Nuance Advanced, High Quality Continuous Speech Recognition - Nuance

The English Speaker Voice Name is "Emily" obviously gender is Female and audio is 11khz solo track



3. Blue & Me is based on Microsoft Auto OS, started from version 4.0 which many of us have updated to 5.xx to 6.0

 

Could you please point the source of the hardware information. I want to know if this hardware is compatible to support A2DP bluetooth profile and if I get more information on the software, I can play around with some hacks too (as I have some amount of Windows CE expertise to try something).

I don't think the versions of Microsoft Auto can be correlated with the 'Blue & Me' update versions what we have got, as the Microsoft Auto itself has undergone lot of naming changes. As of now, latest version of Microsoft Auto is called as Windows Embedded Automotive

I cannot say about hardware compatibility, but as per my latest knowledge Microsoft Auto 4.0 supports A2DP and my guess is its using mono channel over A2DP for phone communication. And have to test sending audio files in mono channel, could not figure out any app android to do so.

It also uses Windows Mobile for Automotive 5.xx and Lauberhorn 6.0, I came to know about hardware based on its software packaging details like "FIAT_LH.V1.ARMV4I.cab"
