Blue & Me Software Version update & All other queries

thanks a lot arielsinthesky.i cannot update b&m to 6.0. Usb error:10 is showing up in MID along with an audio message to check the contents of the pendrive.Any solution?

 

Hi vignesh,

Please make sure you have followed the below steps:

1. Format the pen drive using as a FAT32 memory allocation
2. Download the B&Me 6.0 and copy it into the pen drive without creating a folder.
3. Insert the pen drive into the usb slot when the car is in Key position
4. Turn the Key to "Mar" position

Ours is first or second it depends on that , v 6.0 is for second gen alone, think 2012 cars are 2nd gen

 

B&M 6.0 installation: USB Error:10

Even I am getting the USB error: 10 and the voice prompting "check the contents the USB and try again". B&M installer is crappy
I shall try with a different USB drive after downloading the package from Fiat site again.

Mine is a March 2011 Punto, and it has the "Image ID" menu item, this means my car is having the 2ng gen B&M. Even then I am not able to install the B&M 6.0 version

Did you guys try the configurator to check what version you had?

 

Nope I didn't try the configurator yet, will try some time over the week end. But I am sure that my car is having the 2nd gen B&M. Even installation of 5.5 and 5.6 were failing. Will give a last try over the week end with a different USB drive. As of now I have no issues with the existing B&M setup, so this update is not an urgent requirement for me. My iPhone and my wife's Nokia works without a glitch

 

yeah.But the the website is not directing to any links after uploading the BMconf file.Here is the contents of that .xml file.
'<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <BlueAndMeInfo> <CarType>
</CarType> <Configuration>97FC0</Configuration> </BlueAndMeInfo> '.
Is this the same with yours?

 

Tried the assisted mode just now, the upload of BMConf.xml doesn't help in the download of B&M. Will try with a different USB drive tomorrow. The content of the XML file is given below

Tried different USB drives, it still fails with USB error 10. Do not want to waste time, will miss the Eco Drive. Please do post if any one gets the B&M 6.0 to work in Punto.
