Issues with pairing my N8

Hi,

I still have issues with pairing my N8 with the B&M of the GP.

While I can make and receive calls, i cannot offload the Phone book onto the B&M.

When I try to do it manually, it disconnects the Bluetooth everytime.

By the way, I have already uploaded v5.5 @ the TASS in Thane last month..but still no luck.

Can anyone in this forum who has an N8 and which works very well would please guide me as to what to do?

 

How to check Blue&Me version?

I am getting error while installing Eco Drive in my linea. Error is check USB memory limit...
already plenty of free space in USB.

I think its due to Blue&Me version.. downloading 5.5 version but I want to check the current version.

 

Sadly there is no way to check which version it is

Try to format your pendrive to "FAT" format and copy the files onto it.
Plug it, and after few seconds the lady say "Update Completed".."Now usb memory can be removed or stuff like that!!"

@anrad73 , when you try to do a manual transfer the BlueTooth would get disconnected. This is normal.
However you can still transfer the Phone Numbers manually. What you need to do is to go to the phone number that you want to transfer and send the same using Bluetooth as if you are sending the Number from your N8 device to another Phone. In the Bluetooth devices of the Phone the Blue and Me would appear as the "My Car". Select "My Car" from the options and the specific phone number will send to the Car Phone book and a "thak" sound would be heard. You can check the same in the Cars phone book as well. I had faced the same problem with my N73 . I guess may be some N-series dont support the Auto transfer of Phone Book . Anyways , please try the method that I suggested and update.

But how do I transfer the entire Phone Book?

It will definitely be a pain transferring one number at a time everytime.

Any suggestions ?

 

@Gurjinder I think this method work only for "Pull" phones ...going by the description of anrad73 , N8 is probably a "push" phone and would not support automatic update. @anrad73 I think the only way for you to do it is to do it manually like I mentioned , unless there is a possibility to sent multiple contacts through BlueTooth ; you will have to sent them one by one . I myself did it manually ; its tough but you can do it by setting some target say 20 names per day have to be transferred . It painfull I know :x . I dont know if the new version of Blue and Me solves this. If you come across any other method , please share.

Here you can find that N8 has only the one by one option highlighted. Am also attaching a pic for the same , where the other options are shown as faded.

 

Blue & Me and Media Not working.

Hi,

I am facing one problem in blue & me. since from yestarday suddenly the display unit is not showing last call, setting, media-folder etc options. i cannot able to play mp3 from pen-drive. Cannot able set an setting realted to blue & me. CD & Radio are working. bluetooth is working, i can able to make/rec call, but display unit does not show phone number nor caller name.

any idea what went wrong? is it a software problem or display unit or steering control or wiring?
