Blue & Me Software Version update & All other queries

Hi, I have not faced any issue with using my iPhone4 till now. I have been able to use it quite easily for all phone functions (except message reader). The link-up was without a hitch and the phone book was copied automatically without any problems. In fact this is something I verified in the test car before booking my TJet. If your iPhone has an older version of iOS, updating that may help.
Haven't tried playing the music stored in the phone, so I'll not comment on that. I would say that inability to play music from iPhone via bluetooth is a pity.

 

I can't pair my iPad with blue& me and ofcourse iPad doesn't pair with nexus one either.

Thanks, abk1980. I had tried in vain playing music from my daughter's iPhone. But, I haven't tried it pairing with Blue&Me. Later, I came to know from fiatforum.com that updating OS would enable playing music from iPhone. I advised my daughter to do so, but she is yet to act on it.

 

Do you by any chance mean its possible to play music using iPhone's player (so one can control the song being played using the iphone)?

 

It is possible to play tracks from iPhone with the latest iOS 4.x.x through the Media Player using Blue&Me, but with voice command or steering control only, just like playing tracks from iPod. But, I am waiting for my daughter to update her iPhone's iOS to confirm it.

 

Blue n me version 5.5 works with I phone 4 and most other new phonesher from the FIAT staff whom I shaared the software with and now they are installing it on all their cars lol. I have installed the 5.5 on my Punto a couple of months back and it works fine. I ll share it if anyone requires.

I have (tested) the B&M adapter and it works beautifully. I can read the playlists also & the iPhone4's iPod App screen shows "Accessory connected". Just to clarify; I have iPhone4; iOS 4.3.1 (just one version lower) and I have updated the B&M software to version 5.5

Yes, it's a pity that playing over bluetooth is not supported but the adapter works great

 

I don't think it's possible to do that - Conversely, playlist(s) with the desired song(s) can be synced to the iPhone or iPod and the playlist can be chosen using the B&M system. Of course, the B&M adapter is also required for reading the playlists!

As mentioned before, when the iPhone is connected via the B&M adapter & the iPod.app is accessed, no controls are available - It shows : "Accessory Connected"

 

Yes, I also realized that its possible to use iPhone's playlists last weekend when I connected my USB. I love it.

 

Do you have the FIAT adapter or the hardware fix has arrived in India as well? Just curious - Can't do anything about it now though
