When i keep clicking source it says no media available
however if i go to USB options>>media player>>use up and down and select folders>>browse through the folders and select play anything it starts playing from USB

    Hi there to all,
Being a Mac & iPhone User, I was unaware that iPods could be made as FAT32 disks & still sync back the songs from Mac iTunes! Thank you @kaps for the clarifications. I connected the old iPod Classic to a Windows machine & iTunes propmted me to flash the firmware by downloading a 6MB file (again no OS helps). I synced back the songs from my Mac & the B&M system is able to play the songs...
One issue though - it doesn't recognize the playlists! Is there any solution for that?

@Prakhar- When you play music via the pen drive (USB), you are not playing it through the Head Unit but they are being played via Windows Media Player. That's why you can not use Head Unit controls to change tracks.

You can manually skip to next track by pressing the next button (Up arrow button) on the steering controls.

I too have a 16GB HP stick and which is ~50% full as of now. Some times it does behave erratically. When i turn to the Mar position, the media player starts as usual. And then, when i crank after a few secs, the media player stops temporarily(which is also usual) but sometimes does not come back to Media Player and jumps to either CD/FM(if CD is not inside). Even if i annouce 'folders' Lina says no media device available. I have to go back to the media player via the steering controls, if i wish. There are quite a few bugs in the Blue & Me out of which 3 are quite irritating for me at times (one i have already described earlier in this thread to which till date i have failed to get any help from anybody ) and i think FIAT needs to pay some more attention to overcome this in future revisions. :hit

::V @Saugdas ji- I think to are referring to the query you once put regarding selecting folders via voice commands right?

I'm sorry for not coming back with the result after replying last time. I will come back with a reply by 6-7pm. :geek:

If not using HU, then how is the sound amplified by BnM (Windows Media Player)? does our car have an amp for BnM?? if so where is it & can we exploit it ?

I still believe the Blu n Mi uses Stock HU to process the sound...

@Cubbie- Arrey sir ji, what I meant that the song is being played via Media Player but of course some of the settings and processing of sound is done by the Head Unit only. Leaving everything upon the B&M would be a costly affair and why to put extra stuff when there is a HU already.

Blue&Me controls just the playback related options while Head Unit does the rest. Blue&Me uses the amp of head unit only. There is no separate amp for Blue&Me.
