I tried this, but the system is not able to recognize "Folders". It always does "Shuffle On" or "Loop On" when I say "Folders" which is double annoying!

Thanks guys for the quick response! I will have to hear a lot from my wife :hit now as she hates the fact that I have the control on which song is played! ::D

Blue & Me recognises certain filetypes (.xxx) & if that particular folder has some files with certain tags, those tags need to be removed. Am not being very specific here as do not remember specifically the technical details. There is a software patch to remove/ adjust those tags. This could be the issue.

It could be following patch. Am not sure though. Pls search this name on the web as this is an old file I downloaded on my hard drive.

""Lina" does not understand our pronunciation of "Folders". Check a pronounciation Dictionary - you would find that you'll need to say something like "Fauuuuulders" Or better is to say "Media PLayer" & then surf thro' the Folders thro' steering control ::T

    Guy's,

I have been reading through this thread and am seriously confused. I expect to be getting my Punto Emotion Pk in a couple of weeks and my only concern is being able to play my ~20 GB music library from my iPhone. I'm seeing conflicting responses on whether or not you need the adaptor. It is possible that on recent hardware versions, they have integrated the adaptor circuitry into the main unit itself. Has anybody been able to play from their iPhone/iPod Touch (not other iPods) without using the adaptor?

And if I do need the adaptor, is it even available in India? The Fiat dealer seemed to be clueless about it. I'm a little apprehensive about ordering from Ebay UK due to possible customs hassles.

Deb: I tested my daughter's iPhone with and without adaptor in my Linea's Blue&Me with SW v 5.5. Without the adaptor, the iPhone was not at all recognised and 'No media available' was displayed. With adaptor, the iPhone played for a few seconds and automatically switched over to FM radio! But, it recognised my another daughter's iPod Nano and my son's iPod both with and without adaptor. The Blue&Me adaptor will not ensure connectivity to iPhone.

Before updating to v5.5, I bought the adaptor from UK ordered through ebay.co.uk. No worries regarding customs. My postman delivered it at my home within ten days.

Ravi, thanks for the info. So if I do go for the adaptor, it will be an expensive risk.

So the only other way for me seems to be to get a 32GB flash drive (my library is presently around 20GB and growing). There doesn't seem to be any drive size limitation for Blue&Me as I read someone has even tried a 320GB hard drive. Please do correct me if I'm wrong!

Can someone please enlighten me on which file system needs to be used for larger drives? I believe the max limit for FAT32 is 20GB (?). I'm a Mac user so have a myriad of file systems to choose from (FAT, FAT32, exFAT and NTFS among the Windows compatible ones).

IPhone with adapter will be glitchy.
You can use 32gb pen drive. Format should be fat32. Fat32 limitation is for file size and for older OS which couldn't support HDD larger than 37gb.

I have an issue with N8 pairing with B&M.

While it does recognise the phone, it does not download the Phone Book automatically. Even if I try to do it manually, the Blue Tooth gets disconnected. I , therefore, need to dial everything from the Handset and listen on the Car Audio.

Guess, I need to wait for another upgrade to include N8.
