Blue & Me Software Version update & All other queries

I leave Ipod connected....know its not safe to do so...but dont listen to it at home or office... so its lying in the car....
Pls tell me whats the negative about doing so? (apart from Theft)...

Strange thing happening with my Blue and Me..Pls help if anyone has faced this.

One of the folders (particular "Movie" Folder) that I have in my USB stick goes missing frequently. I mean its there in the USB when I plug it in my computer. The car also plays it, but suddenly after sometime..when I switch off and ignite the car again, it goes missing.. Its so strange.

When it happened for the first time, I followed the steps below:

1. Disconnected the USB from Blue and Me
2. Formatted the USB in my computer
3. Reloaded all the folders including the particular folder that went missing
4. Plugged it in the Blue and Me
5. Started the media player

It worked for a couple of days.. meaning the car recognized that particular folder and everything was normal. And today morning, the same folder went missing (the Blue and Me does not show the folder in the USB)..all other folders are intact.

I am puzzled! This happens only to that folder.
May be my car doesnot like any songs within that folder! :mrgreen:

 

Have been using Linea Emotion PK since January 2010 with my Google Nexus 1 without any trouble. The Phone used to sync and get connected automatically glitch free.

Then I guess something's gone wrong in past 3 days. The phone says its connected and paired but if I try & use Blue & Me through the wheel buttons all I see and hear from MID is - Searching!

Have tried re-paring few 100 times the phone's detected and MID says connecting (but never connected) shows the phone's ID and goes to normal. Phone shows its connected but I'm unable to use the phone through bluetooth. This has resulted in 2 traffic tickets in two days!!!! :firey

So anyone who can help a fellow fiat brother!!! BTW is there a way to check what version of Blue & one the car is using??

Try deleting user data. If that does not work, reset by removing negative terminal of battery for 5 mins and reconnect.

I suggest you do everything you do to hook up your car and phone right from scratch.

Remove all the phone/s listed in your bluetooth setting . Disconect your Blue & ME as Kaps suggested .

In short ...Start from scratch!!! It should work

i have a problem with using my ipod (30GB video) on BnM. I had upgraded to V5.5 and when i connected my ipod to it, the ipod flashed "do not Disconnect" screen. (the same msg it would display when you connect it with a PC).

After that, when i traversed through the menu to media player and tried listing the folders, it said, Loading Media... please wait. I waited for more than 15 or 20 mins... every time i checked, it said the same.

After some time when I tried, it displayed a message, " no media" on the MID. Has someone else faced this, can someone please help?

PS... a few notes on how i connected my ipod\
1. I connected it directly using the USB cable to the BnM usb slot (no adaptor used)
2. i did all this while the car was moving and not at rest

 

I've had this same issues whilst connecting my iPhone through the adapter. It takes ages to load the Album & Artist information and sometime flashes the no media error. However after sometime it did pull out all the information Albums, Artist etc.

 

I got my new GP 90 few weeks back and I cannot find how to do the following when playing music from USB:

1. Display song title (or any info) on the Head Unit. It only shows "Media Player"
2. Go to next track using Head Unit controls. I can only do that using voice commands or steering controls.
3. Go to next/prev folder. The only way I found to do this is go to Menu and browse folders on MID which is not possible while driving.

Any pointers on how to do the above will be helpful!

 

Head Unit has two functions:

1. CD Player/Radio receiver
2. Amplification for CD player/Radio/Media player.

Media player is not the part of head unit but Blue&Me fitted in glove box. If you insert a CD, you will be able to use controls on HU for CD functions. When using media player, functions and display is only through steering controls or voice command.
