Blue & Me Software Version update & All other queries

Until now, i have not controled the media player through voice commands. Is this possible, if so, what options can we use? any guidances would be helpful.

At times i feel difficult to browse through the tracks using the steering control and MID to play a desired track while driving. I feel sometimes this practice is unsafe as well.

 

I use these for voice commands:
Play anything - plays a random song from idb
Next/ previous - next or previous track respectively.
Shuffle on/off - to play randomly from the song list on usb
Repeat on/ off - to repeat/ loop one particular track

 

How you place songs in your USB drive?
I recently upgraded to 5.5 and created Songs folder in USB drive and placed 3 folders like English, Hindi, Instrumental into it.
Now when I play music from USB, the Media Player doesnt give any Folders option to select, it just plays all song in a single list
Anyone facing similar problem?

 

Press the phone button on the steering control and go to media player. In media player you will will see folders option. Click that and you will see your folders.
One way you can play all songs is say shuffle on by voice. This plays all songs in usb... Kindly check this.

 

All,do we know from which country, the B&Me kits are imported for GP MJD in India?

 

Guys, I dont know how Linean's installed Eco drive software. You cant select India in the list. Any other country you select it shows only 1.6 MJD not 1.3 and it wont allow u to change this. 1.6 MJD is not yet launched in India. A 1.6 car will perform much better than a 1.3 and the data it returns will not be same as well. Again it shows Linea as a 5 door car, where in it is a 4 door sedan. How did you guys install this software and how accurate is your data gonna be when your car is only 1.3lr 90 ps. Please clarify. Whether you guys were able to change these configuration settings or they were coming as preselected and disabled for you also? I killed the installation process at this point. I am not going to install it on my PC or car.

 

Linea is a 5 door sedan, 4 doors + 1 boot door.
Eco drive is not yet released for 1.3 MJD and 1.4 Fire 90 Bhp and 1.4 T-Jet

 

Boot door wont count for Linea as it does not open into the cabin, but for hatchback cars boot door opens to the cabin area as well, so 5 door. Linea is a 4 door sedan. Skoda Octavia is a 5 door sedan.

 

A quick question to the guys listening to music from the USB drive. Do you guys leave your USB stick in the B&M even when parked for the night?
Is there any special procedure to remove the USB stick? Since the kit is from Microsoft, wondering whether we need to eject the drive and wait for a 'Safe to remove hardware' message

 

There is no need for that message here. IIRC, major OSes use that to turn on/off the USB port for power saving. Blue&Me is using this port for media player and is not an OS. So no hassles if you leave it overnight.
