Blue & Me Software Version update & All other queries

I too updated the B&M software to version 5.5 - it does read the ipod and i notice that the voice commands work better now. However, it does mess up the ipod folders. I have edited the ID3 tags carefully and everything. Still it does mess up my folders and at times song names come out like "WERT, SFGF" etc. any suggestions on what must be done..

 

Blue & Me is not connecting to Blackberry Curve all of sudde

Has anyone faced this issue before? After using Blue&Me for the past 20 months with Blackberry in my LINEA, it has stopped working all of a sudden. I tried deleting the connection in BB and pairing once again- Blue & Me shows Blackberry 8900 on the MID after updating the pincode-but the phone shows "waiting for Blue&Me". This message is shown continuosly for the time i am in the car. If i cancel then Blue & Me device is shown as Connected but if i try any of the options in Blue & Me like phonebook etc, it says "Searching for connection".

It was working 2 days back and i didnt do any change either in the B&M or in the BB.

Any tips?

Did you try restarting Blue N Me by disconnecting negative battery terminal.
Fiat/Microsoft should provide something like restart button or Ctrl+Alt+Del in Blue N Me.

 

i am also facing similar to ysapre.

suddenly my nokia e72 stopped working and similar messages. if we disconnect -ve terminal is there loss of memory like trip meter data etc. has anybody checked this.

 

@ sahdk Yes the m the trip data + date & time settings gets reset by removing -ve terminal.

There's nothing you can do to resolve this. You can try American accent, that's the only solution

 

as per ppl on your forum, i upgraded my Linea's Blue&Me software to version 5.5, cuz as i read this new version supports itouch &iPhone n even charges it. Now i havee succesfully upgraded the software.. but my ipod is neither detected nor charges.. i just get ths sound which i get when i plug into the USB port or the cahrger.. but it doesn get charged.. the MEdia player says "NO MEDIA FOUND". i have a itouch 3G with software version 4.2. Pls Help

 

You need Fiat Ipod adaptor for it to work properly.
I think the members who claimed of Ipod adaptor to work in Blue n Me 5.5 must have old gen Ipod which doesn't need an adaptor anyway.
If anyone can connect Ipod touch to Blue N Me without adaptor. I request them to show the procedure to connect the Ipod using images or video so that other members can benefit from it.
While Ipod classic connects without any problem, I have not succedded in connecting Ipod Touch to Blue N Me and be able to play files. I have tried different cables too.
Even Fiat is saying that adaptor is not required for new Blue N Me boxes which are being fit into Grande Punto EVO, 500 above some Vin no.
For older cars they suggest to use Ipod Adaptor for compatibilty with new gen Ipods.

agree on tht part of describin with pics.. tht would be really helpful.. but as per wat i have read.. ppl owning itouch have successfully connceted to blue&ME without the adaptor.. i'll be trying with my cousins iPhone 4G n my BIL's IPhone 3G when they come down next week.. wanna know wat the prob might be..
