Thanks a lot Kiran for posting the pictures of my Linea. Its a multijet.

Monkeys in Kodai are real villains. They looted an apple, a frooti and also some parts of bread omlet from me and my family. Their activities didn't stop there. When we opened the hotel room (which was supposed to be used by my brother) we realized that the monkeys have already gone on a rampage in the room too, the same was brought to the notice of the management and got another room. Luckily we didn't have any of our belongings in that room and the reason of their entry was because the house keeping staffs left the windows open after cleaning.

    Nicely narrated Travelogue, Kiran.

I never miss to drive to Berijam Lake whenever I visit Kodai. I simply love the drive to the Berijam Lake. Also, I love to drive to Poomparai village and Mannavanur village too. Those are not known to many and still remains unexploited area. Here's a picture of the Lake at Mannavanur.

Thanks ramjn. I would have definitely visited these places if I knew about them earlier. Wish I were placed in Chennai or Bangalore. I was discussing the same with my wife the other day, that you guys have so many options for holiday unlike us Hyderabadis.

That is true. Bangalore is better placed than Chennai in terms of distance to the places. :)

Good TLog Kiran and nice photos to tell the full story.

@ ramjn, I will make it a point to visit those two villages you suggested on my next Kodai visit. Looks awesome.

Just a word of caution. The road to Mannavanur lake is by far the worst road ever encountered by my Linea. You will need lot of patience and planning to get rid of the under body hit.
