    It is the spot where to put the jack, but not on the running board. I think you did not read your Car Manal fully. Please go through the manual the full details are given to where to put the jack.

    During tyre rotation at alignment shop the mechanics never follow the correct position. This I have watched many time.

    What about the car lifts (or whatever they are called) that alignment shops use? Are they safe enough? I am specifically asking this question because I will be installing alloys in the weekend. Or should I insist that the tyre shop that the jack that came with the car be used?

    Car lifts are safe as they have four arms to lift the car and they do not touch the running board.
