I had not used my car for 4 days. When I tried to start it after 4 days I found all the needles were shuddering and no glow light. Later I realized my car battery was flat. I called up exide service guy and checked my battery. It had no charge at all.The water level and everything else was fine. I got it removed and gave it for charging to a nearby charging center.
I wonder what could have caused this. I believe all the electrical devices shut down after some time even if they were left ON in our cars.
Once I get the battery back I will check for any electrical leaks.
Is there a set of standard checks I should go through once I put the battery back?

Have the battery tested thoroughly. Could be a case of the battery going bad.

This is a problem in many linea/puntos.
Definitely the battery relay is faulty and that's the reason the compressor runs even when the car is switched off which drains the battery
Check for the battery relay and your problem is solved.
