Both Road are extremely beautiful & smooth till Balasore. Will be better If you are planning to complete first day before Vizag ( will be 1200-1300 KM in a single day). Try to complete As much as possible in first day. If you are good in Night Driving then it will be good ( crossing big cities will take very less time).

@ BoseSumar- thank you for the confirmation. Appreciate it :)

Any idea on any decent family hotel in Vizag, preferably close to highway itself. I may start by 4 PM from Bangalore and reach Vizag at around 6-7 AM. Have some sleep in the hotel, roam around in the city and beach etc whole day. Stay at night at the same hotel and start early morning at 4 AM towards Jamshedpur.

    Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

    @RoadRunner:
Please try BayLeaf closer to highway and just opp to Beach. Around 4-5kms before Gitam University.
    Awesome place for sure.

1st of all, thanks to everyone on TFI for the great help on the Route, Road, Eateries etc suggestions :)

Finally, the day came and we have finalized to travel to Bihar (Samastipur) taking the route- Bangalore-Hydrabad-Vijayawada-Vizag-Balasore-Jamshedpur-Patna-Samastipur :joyful:

Below things have been done so far:
    1. Car 2nd Year Service (Vecto Motors)
    2. All Allow bend repaired (A1 Car Care, Ashoka Pillar Road)
    3. Wheel alignment and balancing done (A1 Car Care) with 32 PSi on all wheels
    4. Spare wheel cheked and reinstalled (to remove any rust on the bold etc.)
    5. Bought Mobile holder (Capdase HR00-CA01-) for windshield and car mobile charger (Skywater car_charger SW101-)- have used these for a week's time now. It's awesome.
    6. Checked and got cleaned Wheel opener, Jack etc.
    7. Kept extra windshield cleaner liquid.
    8. Installed Morimoto's H1 4300 K HID Kit- on high Beam reflector (just to use on highways)- it's simply awesome in terms of visibility and accurate beam and focus.

Will start from Bangalore on 1st Oct 2014 @ 3 AM (Insha Allah-) :brb:

Any suggestion would be highly appreciated

All the best for long journey, hope you would enjoy it.
Keep taking rest if required, don't ignore it. Once you are back, let us know how it went.

Just from Balasore to Jamshedpur, follow - Balasore - Baripada - Bangriposi - Rairangpur - Hata - Jamshedpur - route.

Have you got the projectors installed for the HID Kit? If no, the light gets scattered and is quite useless in rains especially. It will also blind the oncoming traffic. The motive of getting better lights is to improve the visibility for the driver and not blinding the oncoming traffic.

Can you post the pics of the high beam in action.

No, it's just the HID H1 Bulb! I have the Projector set, however no one in Bangalore is capable of opening and sealing the Head light assembly after installation :-(

There is no difference in Osram Night breaker H1(which I had earlier in H1 and still there in H7) and HID H1 bulb in terms of beam pattern, accurate focus and there in absolutely no scattering of light at all. The blindness for oncoming traffic will always be there if we use high beam (H1) irrespective of HID or Halogen. Yes, HID will be more brighter than Halogen- Agree!

I will click a pic on highway (during this trip) and post here :)
