195/70/15 is more of a commercial vehicle tire, rather than a passenger car tire.

Wonderful answer...In a nutshell I can conclude we will not experience any significant drop in FE although the ride quality improvement will be far better. So its perfectly alright to have the tyre size that comes with emotion variant (195/60/R15)

Sundar, were you planning to downgrade emotion variant's tires:confused:?

I was concerned and wondered why Punto doesnt give Dynamic's tyres and Emotion's features. But I wouldn't have downgraded and "learned to live with it"

1.) while turning there are high chances that the tires will rub against the fenders inside lining
2.) the ride will become plush but at the expense of more bounce and vertical movement
3.) Bad effects on the suspension
    4.) error in speedo
5.) gains not worth the compromises

this was my main concern when the car is fully loaded, then doesnt this problem creates with 185/70/R14 though rim size is less.
if something thats affecting the ride quality then thats out of my list.

    theblack,
I have decided not to go for 195/70/R15 tires... whats your take on this ?

Bro the 14s would not cause any such concerns for two reasons
    1. The size is an inch smaller than 15s. So u have 1" headroom here

2.do not that 70% of 185 will always be less than that of 195, so hereby you have another half an inch headroom

So the best possible sizes are
    1. In 14" - 185/70
    2. In 15" - 195/60 or 205/55
