Are wider tyres andavantage or disadvantage???

Can i downsize my stock tyre in Punto emotion pack 1.4 petrol from 195/60 r15, in the same stock alloys? Which size will fit in?
Will it improve FE and how much and pickup ? Currently i am getting 11kmpl in city 14 on highway. Will it make steering lighter?

Technically, Yes. The new tyre's overall diameter to be within -1% to 3%.

However, advised to stay with the stock size.
Or choose a size that is given in another variant of the car. I understand that the others were variants, having 14 inch tyres.

To keep the OD same, when you reduce the width of the tyres, you may have to increase the sidewall profile, which could fill/fit the tyre well in car's body.

Since the contact to the road is reduced by narrow tyres, FE and pick up may improve. Braking will worsen. Steering may also be lighter.
