OMG these are horrifying stories! Reminded me of my Alto's service experience at My Car Maruti ASS. My Car had charged me for Battery Distilled Water wherein I have a Maintenance free (dry battery) installed. Every time they used to suggest de-carbonization, I had done it on completing 40K Kms however getting same recommendation for every service after that was a pathetic experience. Finally got a good Maruti ASS (Chowgule Motors) for my Alto. Earlier my average service bill at My Car used to be 8K-10K which eventually got averaged to 3.5K-4K when switched over to Chowgule.
So there is problem with all Service centers (XSS).
But with Fiat it is little more.
....or a little less, depending on how one defines 'problem', what one's expectations and indeed illusions are (for eg about spares pricing and warranties), and how one 'deals' with the dealerships/ass-personnel etc?
But then, you said, Scross is costlier by 2L.
And afterall, 200 km journey would be required only if unsatisfactory service is provided by the FASS in your city & mefeels routine filter, oil replacement, & WAWB servicing should not be a problem in your city.
