  2. Disagree!

Sygic Maps' map data sucks a big time. The only thing I really like about Sygic is it's awesome user interface.

It provides the best maps (after google) for Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat (that only I tried). Don't know about other states.

  4. In Kerala, not all the roads are present in Sygic Maps. Plus the POIs are very less in number on comparison with Google Maps

Then Google Maps in my region is very detailed as I'm into mapping and editing Google Maps.

Because of these reasons I'm happy using Brut version of Google Maps :)

    Android Apps - Google Play

I dint come across any thread dedicated to Android apps..

I came across an app in Google Play..thought i should share with my fellow TFI's

    its called ''UlysseSpeedometer"

speedometer application uses the phone's built in GPS to show current maximum and average speed, as well total distance, and time traveled, Speed alert etc..

I was testing it today.. and i found that the speedometer on our car and the speed display thru the apps differed by around 8km/hr.

I dint realise the stupid Fm was on...
the speed buzzer on my Punto is set at 80km/hr
May be it would show a much accurate reading when traveling longer distance.

i have downloaded a few other similar apps.. will test them out as well...

Even I was surprised to hear from Nimish that despite after moving to 17 " Alloys with 215/45/17 the speedo error is less (4km) when compared with GPS. Actually it should be more.

See the comparison chart below. Now it makes sense. 215/45/17 will be having less error than 195/60/R 15. ie when you speedo reads 100 Kph, it would read 98.3 Kph on 17" whereas the actual speed is 92 Kph as per the GPS. Our speedo, is it not calibrated as per Indian standards ?

Cinju.. i won't bother much on this.. as i'm not very good with math..

Now... i found this option in the speedometer app I posted yesterday.
    A HUD(heads Up Display)

safer : no need to take eyes of the road
only works at night..... but cool..
