It's common in all diesel engines. As per your observation it's all is well when the oil is not thick as it's synthetic.
Don't worry brother for this. :)
Next time when you will change the engine oil (on 30K km service) ask SA to flush the engine. Then the color might not that black which you are seeing right now.

Engine oil turns black the next moment you pour it into the engine and run a kilometer or so! It's normal and need not worry about the oil getting black.Just keep an eye on the level and the viscosity of the oil.Oil blackening part doesn't apply for petrol engines. If so then please do flush and see to it you change your oil on time :)

Please do opt for synthetic engine oils cause they offer better cold start protection and contribute to less friction.

Selenia Pure Energy is not sold in india and a big debate whether Selenia Oil's are synthetic or part synthetic??

Selenia K and Selenia WR both are Semi or part synthetic!

I was searching the options of 5w 40 engine oil & I got Motul 8100 X-cess 5W40. As per their website it OEM for FIAT cars FIAT 9.55535-H2/M2/N2.

Now what does FIAT 9.55535-H2/M2/N2 means? :confused

I am planning to change the oil at 35000. 3rd service at 30k kms has been completed and I dont want to go ahead with the semi synthetic oil.

Engine Oil frequent loss or draining issue in new engines - As it happened that i casually checked the engine oil level before travel to Pune factory meet and to my surprise it was almost (95%) empty and i had to change the engine oil, Does the engine oil drain out faster do i have to keep reserve of 4ltr pack Selenia 5W40 with me, where can i get it as a pack or plastic as ASS won't sell them and procure only in bulk as Loose (in drums).

Hey Surya i suspect that should be an problem with the engine, i drinks a lot of oil. 95% empty cant be a case at all for pretty new cars. I suggest you to check with the FASS asap. Petronas has bought the Selenia company and now they sell it in 4litre can's. You will be able to stock them from any Petronas dealers at your place.

Dear bharath, i got it checked at the TASS and they told there is nothing wrong with the engine and no leakage also, now after 2nd free service with engine oil changed i am keeping a close look at the levels and have stocked extra oils for topups.
